Check this out, guys. Not an error fix, but an adjustment, to satisfy people’s requests. Here’s Starbucks Been There Ornament – Arizona v2 as it was predicted in my previous post. As you can see below, “The Sand Hill State” is finally gone and replaced with the lizard. I wonder if it receives the positive feedback from Arizonans now.
Along with the Italy YAH, Starbucks has released You Are Here – Milan mug as well. This is the only Italian city Starbucks has the store in so far, but more are expected to come soon. Despite of the grand opening, on-site roastery and incredible interior design of the store, it is yet remains to be seen, whether Starbucks can acquire its niche on the Italian market.… Read more
Here’s Starbucks You Are Here – Italy mug. It took Starbucks 47 years to open its first store in Italy. The reason is pretty obvious – Italians take coffee seriously and prefer drinking espresso on the run. They come to coffee shop or bar, order their espresso, drink it fast, pay and leave. It takes 5 minutes and this is quite different compared to the behavior of the common Starbucks customer. I somehow missed to add this mini mug to the site, and it’s a shame, because this one is special, since Starbucks Been There Ornament – Pike Place can only be bought in one store – The Pike Place Starbucks store, commonly called the Original Starbucks. That particular store has obviously found it’s place on the mug. The string is green.… Read more
Again we see “fixed” design, brought by Holiday Edition mug. Here’s Starbucks Been There Christmas – North Carolina, where “WHITE WATER FALLS” became “WHITEWATER FALLS”. The change is very subtle and I am not even sure, whether this results in replacing the design of the regular BT mug. Stay tuned, to find out if this happens.
Starbucks Been There Christmas Arizona mug reveals some interesting details. Take a look at the image below, where I compare the BT Arizona and it’s Holiday Edition. See how “The Sand Hill State” nickname was replaced with a lizard (I was not able to identify which exactly that one is). And the reason for this change is the numerous complaints from Arizona residents who refused to accept this design. The one and only Canadian Holiday Edition – Starbucks Been There Christmas Canada. Yep, despite of the fact, that there are 20 Canadian BT mugs released so far, there is only one painted in gold. My understanding, Starbucks was not sure about the demand and decided to choose the safe way. There is also a possibility, that they keep other cities and provinces for the next year. Starbucks Been There Christmas Boston is the Holiday Edition of the second version of the existing mug. As a reminder, Boston was one of the mugs with misprint (see this post for more details). As for this particular mug, the actual error was “Boston Commons” instead of “Boston Common” on the back of the mug. As you can see on the pic below, Christmas edition, as expected, has the proper wording.
