The You Are Here Disney California Adventure Cars Land Prototype is yet another unreleased mug that appears to have been planned for 2017. Interestingly, the sticker on the bottom shows that the sample was approved, yet the mug never made it to store shelves. Unfortunately, despite reaching that stage of production, this design seems to have remained a prototype only. You Are Here Disney – Magic Kingdom Adventureland / Frontierland prototype

Thanks to my favorite seller, we have a chance to review some of the prototypes that were never released to stores. This You Are Here Magic Kingdom Adventureland / Frontierland (2016 prototype) is one of them. The design seems to focus mostly on Frontierland and Adventureland, combining attractions and imagery from both areas rather than covering the entire park evenly. This approach makes even more sense in hindsight, as Starbucks later released other Magic Kingdom designs with a stronger focus on Fantasyland and Tomorrowland

– Splash Mountain is one of the easiest attractions to recognize on the design, with its steep rocky peak and waterfall.… Read more

I completely forgot to add the third Star Wars mug that was released this past May. The Starbucks Discovery Series Naboo is a mug for one of the most elegant and culturally rich worlds in the Star Wars galaxy. The design of the Starbucks Discovery Series Crait mug is dedicated to a planet from the Star Wars universe, best known for its appearance in The Last Jedi. Covered in a layer of white salt over striking red mineral soil, the planet became the site of the Resistance’s desperate final stand against the First Order. Star Wars Discovery 2026 Mugs and Ornaments Revealed

Starbucks is teaming up again with Disney to reveal a new set of Star Wars mugs and ornaments ahead of May 4th, Star Wars Day. The upcoming collection focuses on three well-known locations – Naboo, Endor, and Crait – each shown through colorful, detailed designs.

  • Naboo – A peaceful planet known for its royal cities, elegant palaces, and rich culture.
  • Endor – A forest moon filled with towering trees and home to the Ewoks and key Rebel battles.
  • Crait – A remote mineral planet with white salt flats, marked by a dramatic Resistance stand.

Discovery Series – Hong Kong Disneyland

I found some better pics of the Discovery Series Hong Kong Disneyland to share with you. It seems that the design of the bigger mug adds a few attractions from the park that did not fit on the ornament. Also, I would like to mention the interesting detail about the box cover: some of the writing is done in three languages: English, French and Spanish. We’ve seen this done for Star Wars mugs and ornaments, but not the “regular” Disney Discovery collection.… Read more

Here is some exciting news from Hong Kong! As the new collection rolls out across Asia, I’ve spotted a brand-new release from a Disney-themed park. Interestingly, the Discovery Series Ornament Hong Kong Disneyland is being revealed before any other city or country mug or ornament from this region. As for the design, I’m slightly disappointed that Starbucks didn’t use a custom color for the circle on the front of the ornament, similar to what was done for the Disney releases in the US.… Read more

I almost forgot to add Discovery Series Star Wars – Geonosis to my wish list. It is the third mug from the Star Wars collection which was released on May 4th, 2025 along with Kashyyyk and Tatooine.

Geonosis holds major significance in the Star Wars franchise as the birthplace of the Clone Wars. It was on this desert planet that the first large-scale battle between the Galactic Republic and the Separatists erupted in Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Geonosis is also where the secret construction of the first Death Star began and where Count Dooku and the Separatists plotted in secret.… Read more

Discovery Series Star Wars – Kashyyyk

The second mug from the recently announced trio is the Discovery Series Star Wars – Kashyyyk. What I like about these is that the circle on the front of the mug has a custom color, depending on the planet. It is, unfortunately, not the case for the state and city mugs – they all have the same dark green color circle.

Kashyyyk, the lush, forest-covered homeworld of the Wookiees, is one of the most iconic planets in the Star Wars galaxy.… Read more
