You Are Here – Leipzig (Prototype)

You may remember the post I shared earlier this month about an ultra-rare, never-released mug from Korea. At the time, I mentioned that the private collection being offered for sale included several mugs that appear to be pre-production samples created before the final designs went into manufacturing. One piece that particularly caught my attention is this You Are Here Leipzig (prototype) mug, which was recently sold on eBay.

What makes this mug fascinating is that it appears to be an early production sample featuring a different colour palette and a few subtle design variations compared to the version that was ultimately released in stores.… Read more

Another mug from Germany, actually the 11th one, You Are Here Leipzig.
From the mug:
– Bundesverwaltungsgericht – Federal Administrative Court – one of the five federal supreme courts of Germany. It serves to resolve administrative law cases between the state and citizens (being their last resort).
– Völkerschlachtdenkmal (Völki) – Monument to the Battle of the Nations commemorating the Battle of Leipzig (1813), which ended with the defeat of Napoleon. It was another important step taken by the Sixth Coalition to end the war.… Read more

This Icon mug came from Leipzig, Germany. Yellow is used as its theme color. New Town Hall can be seen on the front of the mug and Völkerschlachtdenkmal on the back.
