You Are Here Ornament – Phuket

Similar to two Thailand YAHs coming out together, there are also two minis in the batch. Starbucks You Are Here Ornament Phuket is accompanying Pattaya and I believe will be available in stores together with the latter (somewhere in April). The ornament has the navy string, and as you can see, it is of the regular shape. Not sure what I am talking about? Just compare it to the string used for Thailand YAH Ornament, which was the only mini with this type of string (flat ribbon, instead of rope).… Read more

This is good news for mini mugs collectors, because previously announced Pattaya YAH comes with a smaller brother, Starbucks You Are Here Ornament Pattaya. Here’s the second mug for Thailand to be released soon – Starbucks You Are Here – Phuket. And since Phuket is an island known for amazing beaches and resorts, we again see some ocean scenery to be used for the design of the mug. As an addition to that, there are some houses representing Sino-Portuguese architecture. It is a mix of European and Chinese styles and is coming from the era of Western imperialism when Portuguese settlers hired Chinese workers to build houses and other facilities for them.… Read more

You Are Here – Pattaya

With the reveal of Starbucks You Are Here – Pattaya mug it has become evident that the company decided to fill some gaps within YAH series in Asia. It is worth mentioning that we did have Thailand country mugs, regular and Christmas edition, both released in 2017, at the beginning and at the end of the year, respectively.
As for Pattaya mug, it is not an official release yet, but a sneak peek by an avid collector. We only have blurry images at the moment and so far I can see the ocean, the beach, palm trees and hotels along the bay – a perfect kit for an amazing vacation.… Read more

You Are Here Christmas – Thailand

Last year, I was really excited to add YAH Christmas Amsterdam and Barcelona to Starbucks-Mugs.com in anticipation of their immediate release. However, to my disappointment, they have never been released. And if for Barcelona there was no pic at all, Amsterdam in it’s turn had some photo from apparently Starbucks presentation or something like that.
This is why I am adding You Are Here Christmas – Thailand as a rumor so far. Let’s hope this mug will be released this holiday season and join YAH Christmas family.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament – Thailand

Along with the full size version, Starbucks released Thailand You Are Here Ornament. It is a complete copy of the first, just smaller. Very interesting detail here – the lace is very different from what I’ve seen before on the previous ornaments. Usually, it was a braided round lace and now it’s a flat one! So we can say this ornament is somewhat unique in the series. I believe this is not the only one mug coming from Thailand. Judging by Icons and Relief Series, there should be more.… Read more
