Been There Disney – Epcot 2
And last but not least from the recent Disney releases, is Been There Disney – Epcot v2 mug. The list below is what Starbucks designers have used as inspiration for the mug. Please note, that some of the symbols that can be seen on the mug, are not a part of the park anymore. The way I understand it, they are included to pay homage to the park’s discontinued attractions and as a part of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration
1. Moana – Journey of Water is an exploration trail and water maze that is being constructed at the moment. There is no opening date just yet.
2. Mickey Topiary is one of the topiary sculptures that you can see at the 2021 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival
3. World Showcase – Mexico is a Mexican-themed pavilion that resembles a Mesoamerican pyramid featuring the musical dark boat ride Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, art galleries, and shopping at Plaza de Los Amigos. You can enjoy Mexican food in the restaurants inside and next to the pyramid.
4. World Showcase – Morocco is a Moroccan-themed pavilion that is designed to look like the actual city with a realistic Minaret.
5. Mariachi Cobre Guitar belongs to the Mariachi band that performs on the steps of the Mexico Pavilion
6. Body Wars Ship was a motion simulator attraction that was closed back in 2007. It guided visitors through the journey into the human body.
7. Test Track Car a high-speed (up to 65mph) slot car dark ride that resembles a car manufacturer testing facility.
8. Walt Disney World Monorail is a public transit monorail system in WDW with the Epcot line being a part of it. This line goes from Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot in a clockwise loop.
9. Living With The Land is a slow boat ride that is a part of The Land pavilion. It takes you on a journey through a rainforest, a desert, and the American prairie with a focus on agriculture.
10. Mary Poppins is an upcoming attraction in the United Kingdom pavilion. According to the latest news, it has been postponed with no definitive date in sight.
11. Epcot Symbol – a famous “flower” logo that symbolizes unity, fellowship, and harmony around the world, according to the designers.
12. Food Rocks Mr. Dairy Goodz was a singing milk carton from the group of anthropomorphic dairy products that hosted an animatronic show, Food Rocks. It was replaced by Soarin’ Around the World in 2004.
13. World Showcase Trashcan is not your average trash can with a custom design.
14. Norway Trolls from Maelstrom boat ride located in the Norway pavilion
15. The Land is the pavilion of the Epcot that is dedicated to human interaction with the Earth, focusing on agriculture and travel.
16. Eiffel Tower is one of the main attractions in the France Pavilion. It is the replica of the Parisian original, just 10 times smaller.
17. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a motion-based trackless 3D dark ride. It is located in the France Pavilion and is inspired by Ratatouille, a Pixar animated film.
18. Soarin’ Around the World is an elevated simulated hang-glider tour that uses gentle motion and wind effects to create the sensation of flight as guests “fly” above the world’s landmarks.
19. Figment is a purple dragon, the mascot of the “Imagination!” pavilion
20. The American Adventure is both pavilion and the Audio-Animatronics stage show of American history.
21. The Seas With Nemo & Friends. Seagulls are Audio-Animatronic birds located at the entrance of The Seas With Nemo & Friends pavilion. They flap their wings and say “Mine! Mine! Mine!” as guests pass by. We all know them from the famous Pixar animated film, Finding Nemo.
22. The Seas With Nemo & Friends. Peach is a starfish that can be seen at the end of the Seas with Nemo and Friends ride. It asks guests to take her with them as she’s tired of hearing the “In The Big Blue World” song again and again. That’s a pretty funny detail.
23. SMRT-1 (pronounced Smart-One) was an interactive robot that used speech-recognition technology to interact with guests. He was a part of the Computer Central exhibit from CommuniCore pavilion that was dedicated to technological advances.
24. Guardians of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a ride that is set to open in 2022 to become a part of the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion, EPCOT’s very first Other-World Showcase Pavilion
25. Spaceship Earth a.k.a. the Giant Golf Ball is the famous icon of the park. It features a slow ride that goes back in time while presenting the development of communication through the ages. It is a must-visit attraction of the park.
