Been There – Navigator of the Seas
Been There – Navigator of the Seas is a mug for a Voyager-class cruise ship built by Kværner Masa-Yards in Turku, Finland, and launched in 2002 for Royal Caribbean International. At the time of its debut, it was one of the largest cruise ships in the world, measuring 1,020 feet in length and boasting a gross tonnage of over 139,000. Powered by six Wärtsilä diesel engines and equipped with Azipod propulsion, the ship is designed for both efficiency and stability across open waters.
Onboard, guests can enjoy a wide variety of attractions that make the ship a destination in itself. The Perfect Storm waterslides, including the thrilling Riptide and Blaster, offer high-speed fun and stunning sea views. For those who prefer more relaxed activities, there’s also the adults-only Solarium, complete with loungers and whirlpools.
Entertainment options are plentiful, ranging from Broadway-style shows in the Royal Theater to ice-skating performances at Studio B. The ship also features Laser Tag, a rock-climbing wall, and FlowRider – a surf simulator where guests can ride the waves right on deck. In the evenings, live music, themed parties, and vibrant bars keep the energy high.
Dining aboard Navigator of the Seas spans global cuisines, with specialty restaurants like Jamie’s Italian and Izumi serving gourmet meals. Casual spots like El Loco Fresh offer Mexican favorites by the poolside, while the main dining room provides elegant multi-course dinners. For sweet treats, guests can visit the retro-style Johnny Rockets or indulge at the Sugar Beach candy shop.
