Been There – Star Wars Collection
What happens when a very popular coffee brand cooperates with another very popular media franchise? This can result in the merchandise of high demand, sought by fans from both sides. What you see is a preview of Starbucks Been There Star Wars mug planned to be released in May (according to insiders) in Disney parks. We also have a chance to take a look at the boxes, that are very unique in the sense that their covers differ from regular Been There covers very much. As you can see these are dark blue with the huge Star Wars branding and some characters from the saga as well as starships and even Death Star. The mug in the picture is Been There – Hoth, which represents a location in Star Wars fictional universe. As per its appearance in The Empire Strikes Back, Hoth is an ice planet that is so cold that only a few species live there. Among them are predatory Wampa and the gray snow-lizards known as Tauntauns. The latter can be seen on the front of the mug.
Generally speaking, there are dozens of locations in “a galaxy far, far away” which opens a greater space of opportunities for Starbucks and Star Wars in terms of merchandise releases (mugs, tumblers, ornaments, etc). Here’s the list of some most popular cities and planets, to give us an idea of what might be coming: Naboo, Tatooine, Coruscant, Geonosis, Kashyyyk, Mustafar, Scarif, Dagobah, Bespin, Jakku. Again, there is no guarantee all of them will get the mug, but there is also a place for “A New Hope”.
Stay tuned for a follow up on these amazing series.
This is no joke. Be in line when they launch. They will sell in days, maybe hours
