Been There – Wyoming
Can you guess what tag wasn’t used at Starbucks-Mugs.com yet? You got it – Wyoming! Well, that’s in the past, since Starbucks has just released Been There Wyoming mug. Unfortunately we only see the back of the mug as that’s what was spotted online. Still, the mug is real and it already has caused arguments among muggers on whether they are going to collect it or not! Personally, I think it is just amazing that all states get their respective mug, even those with very few number of Starbucks stores. Which Been There mug you’re the most excited about? Please, leave a comment! What I also see, they started with the states which don’t have YAH mugs. This is a smart move, since it will allow Starbucks to clear the existing stocks of You Are Here series.
This was the offtop, so let’s get back to the mug:
– Flag of Wyoming – red, white and blue with the silhouette of the bison
– Trout and hook – Wyoming is famous for river fishing
– Jackson Hole – a valley between the Teton Mountain Range and the Gros Ventre Range
– The Cowboy State title, cowboy hat and boots – due to the many ranches within state borders
– Pumpjack – for oil drilling and pumping.
I also see Bison, but I’d rather wait till I see all sides of the mug. Stay tuned.
Update from 2018-03-28: added a photo of the front and a collage of all sides:
Are you kidding me?? I would pay double for this one. Lived in Wyoming for many years, and it is, by far, the coolest place ever!!! LOVE that they have a mug for this great state!
We didn’t see the front, but it looks like this is the best Been There mug so far! And it is definitely worths buying your home state mug.
I love the mug but it’s missing our signature bucking horse emblem. That’s my only big complaint. Also would have been cool to have UW and for the mug to be in our state colors of brown and gold. 🙂
I want this mug so badly!! But I don’t live there anymore. Any clue if they still have them
Hello Ashley. The mug will be in stores for a while, no worries. The only reason we don’t hear much – Wyoming is pretty remote state and not that many collectors or sellers report finding it.
Just an update – I stopped at a store in Cheyenne while traveling through last weekend (6/3/18) to pick up a mug. The store told me that someone bought up all the mugs and is selling them online for about $80/each. Really unfortunate that someone would take advantage. I’m not sure if they only bought up Cheyenne, or in other cities, too. The employee mentioned that they are no longer allowed to stock them on the shelves, so I would definitely recommend asking an employee if you don’t see them out. This particular location said it would be fall or later by the time they get more. Hoping that’s not true!
Been coming out here since 1989. I would love this mug however spending $45 is a little steep for me.
I seen on eBay now that someone is selling the mug for $99.99 plus $8.99 shipping. I think that’s kind of nuts. It’s sad people are buying out the mugs and selling that expensive on eBay. I live five hours east of Cheyenne and I’d like to grab one but not for over $100
I just came from Cheyenne and not a single store had one. Called every Starbucks there, was told the warehouse was out and they didn’t know when they would get more. One lady told me they ordered 3 cases and they sent them 3 mugs. Not spending $100 on a mug from some crook on eBay.
I wish it was prettier. I would love to see Yellowstone with old faithful. Or our hot springs and covered wagons for all the pioneers who had to come here before going in 5 different directions. Hate all the brands. I don’t feel this represents our state properly. Thank you
