Discovery Series Ornament – New York City
These were discovered (pun intended) much faster than I expected. As you probably remember, in the case of the previous series of Starbucks collectibles, there was a six-month gap between the release of the mugs and the release of the ornaments. So I was mentally prepared to see the mini mugs from the Discovery series only closer to the end of the year. What was my amazement when I saw the photos of the brand-new Discovery Series Ornament – New York City today.
Let’s talk about the design of the new ornament. Similar to the Disney releases, this one has “Starbucks” written inside, a glossy string, and a matte surface. When compared to the bigger mug, the number of landmarks is reduced to a few. It takes no effort to list them all:
– The skyline of Manhattan stands as a testament to architectural prowess, dominated by the commanding array of skyscrapers that pierce the clouds. Famous buildings like One World Trade Center, the Chrysler Building, and the Empire State Building contribute to the unique character of the city’s silhouette, symbolizing both its rich history and its enduring spirit of innovation. As day fades into night, the twinkling lights of these iconic structures illuminate the skyline, casting a spellbinding glow over the bustling metropolis below.
– Central Park transforms into a breathtaking tapestry of vibrant colors in the fall. The foliage bursts into a symphony of reds, oranges, and yellows, creating a picturesque scene that captivates all who visit. The park’s pathways become lined with fallen leaves, inviting visitors to stroll amidst the crisp autumn air. Central Park in the fall is a magical experience, where nature’s beauty blends harmoniously with the cityscape, leaving a lasting impression on all who wander through its enchanting landscapes.
– The NYC subway system is an intricate web of underground tunnels that connects the bustling neighborhoods of the city. With its vast network of lines and stations, it serves as the lifeline of New York City, transporting millions of commuters and tourists each day. From the iconic subway tiles to the screeching sounds of the trains, the NYC subway is a quintessential part of the city’s identity, embodying its energy, diversity, and constant motion.
– The Statue of Liberty stands tall as a symbol of freedom and democracy in the heart of New York Harbor. Gifted to the United States by France in 1886, it has welcomed countless immigrants seeking a new life in America. With its majestic presence and iconic torch held high, the Statue of Liberty continues to inspire hope and serve as a beacon of liberty for people around the world.
– NYC pretzel carts are iconic symbols of street food culture, dotting the sidewalks with their inviting aroma and colorful umbrellas. From the bustling streets of Times Square to the quieter corners of Central Park, these carts offer a quick and delicious snack for hungry passersby. Whether enjoyed plain or paired with mustard, a warm pretzel from one of these carts is a quintessential taste of New York City.
