You Are Here – Hungary
This is Starbucks You Are Here – Hungary mug and it took Starbucks four months to come up with the regular version of the previously released Holiday Edition. Yes, it’s one of those rare cases when the Christmas version appeared first. Here’s what I see on the mug:
– Nine-holed Bridge – is an arch bridge built between 1827 and 1833 in a Classical style. It is the longest road stone bridge in historic Hungary.
– The Nonius is a Hungarian horse breed generally dark in color. It is a muscular and heavy-boned, similar in type to other light draft and driving horses.
– Hungarian Grey a.k.a. Hungarian Steppe cattle, is an ancient breed of domestic beef cattle indigenous to Hungary.
– Hungarian wax pepper – varies between 1,000 and 15,000 Scoville units (in Scoville Scale range) and considered to be of medium heat.
– Wine grape symbolizes the rich history of winemaking in Hungary. It used to be one of the most important wine producers in Europe. There was a period of time when the production has decreased dramatically (the 1900s), but fortunately, Hungary is coming back. Some of the best-known wines are the white dessert wine Tokaji aszú and the red wine Bull’s Blood of Eger (Egri Bikavér). Interesting enough, the Hungarian word for wine, “bor”, is of Middle Persian origin.
