You Are Here – Mulhouse
Starbucks You Are Here – Mulhouse is a city mug from France with a distinctive design. The location of the city close to Swiss and German borders played a significant role in its history. It was a part of the Holy Roman Empire, the Swiss Confederacy, the German Empire, and obviously France throughout the years.
The city is well known for its museums, two of which, the Cité de l’Automobile (a.k.a. the Musée national de l’automobile) and the Cité du Train (a.k.a. Musée Français du Chemin de Fer), are the the largest of its kind in the world.
The front of the mug showcases the skyline of the Medieval Mulhouse with the Hôtel de Ville (Town Hall) in the front. The latter was built in 1553 as “palais magnifique et tout doré” (“splendid golden palace”).
