Starbucks You Are Here – Stavanger was another Norwegian mug released back in 2020. It features the views of the fourth largest city in the country, with the oil industry being a key industry in this region.
I would like to mention a group of words that can be seen stuck in the mountains on the side of the mug. The name of this commemorative monument is “Sverd i fjell” (Swords in Rock). The three 33ft tall bronze swords planted into the rock of a small hill next to the fjord commemorate the historic Battle of Hafrsfjord that took place in the year 872. The largest sword represents the victorious Harald, and the two smaller swords represent the defeated kings.
