You Are Here Ornament – Thailand

Along with the full size version, Starbucks released Thailand You Are Here Ornament. It is a complete copy of the first, just smaller. Very interesting detail here – the lace is very different from what I’ve seen before on the previous ornaments. Usually, it was a braided round lace and now it’s a flat one! So we can say this ornament is somewhat unique in the series. I believe this is not the only one mug coming from Thailand. Judging by Icons and Relief Series, there should be more.… Read more

You Are Here – Astana

This new YAH is kind of unexpected one. I am used to Starbucks following Icons when releasing new mugs from You Are Here Series. So far we only have one Icon from Kazakhstan and it is, guess what, the Kazakhstan Icon
So, again, Astana YAH is an interesting move. They placed some architecture elements on the mug as well as some national symbols – Kazah Kalpak (hat) and Kazah Ornament.
I am sure this is the first one from the series for this country and there will be at least another one, Almaty, as there are five Starbucks stores there versus only one in Astana.… Read more

You Are Here – Baguio

Remember I told you there were three rumored new YAHs from Philippines, but the pics of them looked really bad. Yesterday I’ve added two of them with better pictures (Boracay and Tagaytay) and now it’s time for third one – Baguio. The total amount of Philippines YAHs now reached eight, so I now starting to believe in the total number of fifteen mugs announced (unofficially) on Facebook.
Baguio is situated in northern Luzon (island) and is also known as Summer Capital of the Philippines.… Read more

You Are Here – Boracay

The sixth YAH from Philippines was spotted in Facebook groups recently. Boracay it is. What is special about this location? It is a really small island in the western part of Philippines, but it is famous for beautiful beaches and relaxing atmosphere. It has received numerous awards from many magazines. White Beach and Bulabog Beach are two main points of attraction on the island. This is obviously why we see beach, ocean and palms on the mug.
I am sure you can buy this mug in any major Philippines airport or you can use the link below to buy online.… Read more

You Are Here – Tagaytay

The picture of three new Philippines YAHs leaked on Facebook earlier last week, but the quality of it was so bad I was not sure if this was worth posting. I decided to wait till better photos appear. So here they are, but only two for now – Tagaytay and Boracay.
Tagaytay is a pretty popular touristic destination thanks to it’s cooler climate (higher altitude) and beautiful mountainous views. It is pretty close to Manila and overlooks Taal Lake in Batangas and Taal Volcano Island.… Read more
