Starbucks Discovery Glass Ornaments 2025
Starbucks has unexpectedly introduced a festive new addition for collectors this holiday season – Discovery Series Glass Ornaments. While I don’t personally collect these, I thought it was worth sharing the news, especially since this release connects directly to the already popular Discovery Series mugs. The company released similar ornaments before, most notably with the glass versions inspired by the Been There series. Even earlier, there were the cold-cup ceramic ornaments, which carried their own unique designs but weren’t tied to any specific mug line.
These new ornaments follow the same design language as the Discovery mugs, highlighting the distinctive symbols, landmarks and motifs associated with states, major cities and special locations such as Pike Place. Each ornament captures the bold illustrations and region-inspired graphics that define the Discovery artwork, but in a smaller, glossy glass format that feels more decorative and seasonal. They also appear noticeably more colourful and detailed compared to the Discovery 2 oz ornaments, giving them a livelier presence despite their small size.
For collectors of Starbucks ornaments or fans of the Discovery lineup, these pieces offer a fun and vibrant way to bring familiar designs onto the holiday tree. Even if you don’t collect ornaments, it’s interesting to see how Starbucks continues to expand the Discovery aesthetic into new formats, keeping the series fresh while staying consistent with its visual identity.
