Starbucks You Are Here – Beijing – one of 23 Chinese mugs released in September 2017.
Huge city, which 22 million people call home is the capital of China. It’s the largest city in the world by area and second most populous.
Even though many know it as a modern city of contemporary architecture, Beijing has a really rich history, going back to 11th century BC – times when it’s predecessor – town of Ji was founded.
This is why, and I really love it, Starbucks placed historical points of interest on the mug:

Qingdao (Tsingtao) – is a port city in the eastern part of China. This is the city of skyscrapers, parks and beaches overlooking the Yellow Sea. It is known by it’s Tsingtao Brewery founded in 1903 by German settlers. It now produces about 15% of domestic beer.

Starbucks You Are Here – Chengdu – is one of 23 Chinese mugs released in September 2017.
Pretty much two things can be seen on the mug:
– Pandas, pandas, pandas – Chengdu Panda Base – a non-profit research and breeding facility for giant pandas and other rare animals. To make it clear, Starbucks placed five pandas on the front of the mug.
The Dujiangyan Irrigation System – is an ancient irrigation system with a history of 2000 years!

Xi’an is the capital of Shaanxi Province located in Northwest China. The two Chinese characters “西安” in the name Xi’an mean “Western Peace”. Xi’an is the oldest of the Four Great Ancient Capitals and the starting point of the Silk Road and home to the Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

Wuhan – is the capital of Hubei province and is the most populous city in Central China. Being a central hub in the domestic transportation, Wuhan is sometimes called Chicago of China.
I definitely see Yellow Crane Tower – traditional Chinese tower which was rebuilt numerous times due to war and fire. Current tower dates back to 1981 and is a mile away from the original place.… Read more

You probably remember my previous post about China YAHs coming out. We had some bad quality pics of Christmas and one regular YAH. Everyone agreed that the last one is probably Hangzhou. But if you look at the newly leaked pics – it seems like Hangzhou will have a different design. I am now confused which one is real. I tend to believe the last news, since insiders even announced the date – mid September.
