You Are Here – Changchun

Starbucks You Are Here Changchun is the third Chinese mug from the recent wave of releases I am adding to the site.
Changchun – is the largest industrial, educational, scientific and transportation hub in Northeast China. It is known as China’s “City of Automobiles”, as the industrial city with a particular focus on the automotive sector. Interesting fact, the name of the city means “long spring” in Chinese. … Read more

You Are Here Ornament – Puer

I’ve been dreaming about this for a year now. Ever since it became clear that China gets lots of YAHs, I knew that ornaments are coming sooner or later too. It has happened today, the first Chinese YAH ornament is out, Starbucks You Are Here Ornament Puer. Interesting enough, this is a completely new city. The bigger mug has been released too and I can’t see it in the pics from the Chinese mugs preview I did earlier. It means that the assumption about second wave was not accurate.… Read more

You Are Here – Wales

As the last accords of discontinued collection – Starbucks You Are Here Wales
The mug is designed having in mind the Flag of Wales, which incorporates the red dragon along with the Tudor colors of green and white.
From the mug:
– sheep – since sheep farming is the important part of economy of Wales. Interesting enough, there are more than 10 million sheep in Wales
– green hills or mountains – probably referring to Snowdonia – mountainous region and a national park in northwestern Wales.… Read more

You Are Here – Spain

Here’s newly released Starbucks You Are Here Spain mug. According to the design of it, all you need to know about Spain:
– lots of sun
– sea, ocean, beaches and palm trees
– soccer (it is called football in Europe)

I still need to see the back of the mug to finish this list though.… Read more

You Are Here – Scotland

More European country YAHs are coming, as promised. Here’s Starbucks You Are Here Scotland. I would like to mention Loch Ness Monster which found its place on the mug. Even though it’s just a part of the folklore, along with a famous photo of “Nessie” made in 1934 which was confirmed to be a hoax, it still draws people’s attention and attracts tourists to lake Loch Ness.… Read more

You Are Here – Norway

If you’re missing YAHs already, here is the small treat – Starbucks You Are Here – Norway mug. As it was planned, this summer will be the Country mugs season. This particular mug has a very vivid design with popping colors: red, blue and white are pretty much the only colors used. We see two Norwegian flags (like one was not enough), mountains, snow and Christmas trees. Add here skis to emphasise skiing being huge in Norway and Oseberg Ship – a well-preserved Viking ship displayed at the Viking Ship Museum at Bygdøy and you are going to get pretty much the full picture of this mug.… Read more

You Are Here Disney – Magic Kingdom 3 Tomorrowland

If you follow my site on the regular basis, you probably remember my post about Starbucks releasing Disney YAHs for each land from each park. While I can’t tell for sure if each land finally gets the mug, but so far we have good reasons to think so. Why? Because, You Are Here Disney Magic Kingdom Tomorrowland mug has been spotted in the Main Street Bakery at the Magic Kingdom today. The new release features:
The (power) palm trees – planted by the Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.… Read more

You Are Here – Disneyland 3 Adventureland

I was under impression, that with the release of BT collection Starbucks made it clear, that no new YAH mugs will be released for US. You can call me naive, but I thought I’ve figured it this time! Nope, Starbucks has it’s own way to keep us in shape! Why? Because they have just released Starbucks You Are Here Disneyland Adventureland. Technically this is the third version of the Disneyland mug. It doesn’t actually say “Adventureland” on the mug, but we can see it is dedicated to this particular Land:
– Singing parrots and tree for Enchanted Tiki Room – a pseudo-Polynesian themed musical animatronic show
– Boat for Jungle Cruise – a simulation of a riverboat cruise down several major rivers of Asia, Africa and South America
Not sure about that mountain though.… Read more
