Unexpected release from India – You Are Here Mumbai. As per Wiki page, Starbucks has a joint venture company with Tata, which operates all outlets in India. It has about 100 stores, so I guess it made sense to finally have an YAH.
Interesting to note, the English name of Mumbai was Bombay before 1995, when it was officially renamed. It is the most populous city in India (around 19 million people) as well as the wealthiest.
Points of interest from the mug:
– Gateway of India – this monument was built between 1913 and 1924 to commemorate the landing of King George V and Queen Mary at Apollo Bunder during their visit to India in 1911.
– The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel – is a five stars hotel also known as the “Taj Mahal Hotel”, the “Taj Palace Hotel” or simply “the Taj”. It was opened on 16 December 1903 and can offer 560 rooms and 44 luxury suites.
– Well known Kaali-peeli taxi cab – they now have their own app to compete with Uber
– Surely Arabian Sea (part of Indian Ocean) as Mumbai is located on a peninsula of Salsette Island and is surrounded by water.
