You Are Here – Luxembourg

Starbucks You Are Here – Luxembourg is the first YAH mug for this country. Something tells me it will be the only one since this collection is being phased out. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in Europe but is also one of the richest countries in the world as per GDP per capita and purchasing power.
The design of the mug is very laconic with few elements (apart from the city street with the old buildings):
– The Adolphe Bridge is a double-decked arch bridge in Luxembourg City. It offers a one-way route for road traffic across the Pétrusse river
– Rieslingspaschteit (two yellow loaves on the back) is a special meat pie filled with pork pate covered with a Reisling aspic (wine and meat jelly). It is best served chilled with a glass of local white wine such as Riesling or Pinot Gris.
– The lion is the National Animal of Luxembourg. It could be very well related to the lion rampant from the coat of arms, however, it would be red and not blue in this case.
