Been There Ornament – Alaska 2
While the release of the mugs for the new collection is at full steam, some minor updates were noticed for the series that is retiring. When placing Been There Ornament – Alaska 2 side by side with the v1, I see the following differences:
– the size of the Denali (formerly known as Mount McKinley) was reduced, and the name of the park, “DenaLi Nat’L. PaRK,” was placed underneath. It is unclear why the designers chose this spelling, as I could not find it used elsewhere. The more common spelling is “Denali National Park.”
– The binoculars and a tiny seaplane are gone, to give the place to a parka. It is a versatile and iconic type of coat that provides warmth and protection in cold weather. Originating from Arctic cultures, such as the Alaska Natives and Inuit, the parka has a rich history and cultural significance. Traditionally made from animal skins, it has evolved to incorporate modern materials and designs. Today, the parka is a popular choice for individuals living in cold climates, offering both functionality and style with its insulated construction, hood, and often waterproof outer shell.
Interestingly enough, the bigger version didn’t get an update just yet.
