The latest addition to BTO family – Starbucks Been There Ornament Ohio. From the front:
– Cuyahoga River was so polluted in 60s that it “caught fire” once (1969)
– The Ohio Burgee – Ohio’s swallowtail flag is the only non-rectangular U.S. state flag. It was adopted in 1902
– The football helmet – am pretty sure this is related to the Ohio League which was an informal association of American football clubs active between 1902 and 1919. It is the direct predecessor to the modern National Football League (NFL).
– The ladybug – was selected an official insect of Ohio in 1975. Did you know that ladybug is in fact a ladybird beetle – as true bugs are in a totally different order of insects than beetles.
– The Anthony Wayne Bridge, a.k.a. the High Level Bridge, is a suspension bridge in Toledo, Ohio, built in 1931.
