Star Wars Been There – Coruscant

Been There – Coruscant is the third mug released on May 4th, 2023, the day that holds great significance for Star Wars fans worldwide. Coruscant, also known as Imperial Center, was a unique and remarkable planet of the Core Worlds. The whole surface of the planet was entirely covered in sprawling cities and urban landscapes, an ecumenopolis as it was called in the Star Wars metaverse. It was believed by many to be the original homeworld of humanity. The planet served as a bustling hub of activity, and held immense political significance during the rule of the Galactic Empire.

The front of the mug showcases the Jedi Temple that served as the spiritual and educational hub of the Jedi Order. This magnificent structure, with its distinctive architecture and towering spires, stood as a symbol of peace and enlightenment. Within its walls, Jedi Knights and Masters trained in the ways of the Force, honing their skills and wisdom. The Temple housed vast archives of knowledge, artifacts, and holocrons, preserving the ancient teachings of the Jedi. It was a place of meditation, reflection, and guidance, where Jedi Council meetings were held to discuss matters of galactic importance. The Jedi Temple represented the embodiment of the Jedi’s commitment to justice, harmony, and the preservation of peace in the galaxy.
Speaking of the training, you can also see Jedi younglings practicing wearing the helmets and holding lightsabers. These initiates of the Jedi Order, underwent rigorous training to develop their connection with the Force and nurture their abilities. Under the guidance of experienced Jedi instructors, these aspiring Padawans honed their lightsaber skills, studied the Jedi Code, and engaged in physical and mental exercises to cultivate discipline and intuition.

Further to the left we can see Yoda, the legendary Jedi Master, that was a diminutive yet incredibly wise and powerful force within the Star Wars universe. With his distinctive appearance and unique syntax, he captivated audiences with his profound teachings and guidance. Known for his exceptional lightsaber skills and his ability to channel the Force, Yoda’s wisdom and insights played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of the Jedi Order and those who sought his counsel.

There is also a scene from the Star Wars: Episode III РRevenge of the Sith. In this scene Padm̩ questions the state of the Republic, expressing her doubts about its continued existence as a democracy to Anakin. She raises concerns about the corruption and political maneuverings she has witnessed, casting doubt on whether the Republic still upholds the principles of fairness and equal representation. Anakin, torn between loyalty to the Republic and his personal feelings, engages in a conversation with Padm̩ about the complexities of politics and the need for change.

Mace Windu was a highly skilled Jedi Master known for his distinctive purple lightsaber and his role as a high-ranking member of the Jedi Council. His character was featured prominently in the prequel trilogy, particularly in “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” and “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.”

The back of the mug showcases the planet as seen from space and also the Galactic Senate’s headquarters. The latter a.k.a Senate Building, or Senate Rotunda, or the Senate Dome served as the seat of the Galactic Republic Senate and the central hub for interstellar diplomacy and governance, where representatives debated and made crucial decisions that shaped galactic affairs. The inside of the building with circular platforms for the hundreds of senators and delegates can be seen on the mug as well. It is a well known location to Star Wars fans, appearing in many episodes of this franchise.

And the last but not least is the intense speeder chase scene where, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker engage in a thrilling pursuit to apprehend a bounty hunter who attempted to assassinate Padmé Amidala. This adrenaline-fueled chase showcased their formidable Jedi skills and served as a pivotal moment in the film, adding an exhilarating element to the action-packed storyline.
