What a pleasant Friday release from Starbucks! As per increasing collectors’ demand, You Are Here – Ireland mug is finally here. Obviously featuring:
– Shamrock – the national flower of Ireland. St Patrick used the shamrock’s three leaves to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagans during his mission of Christianizing Ireland. Shamrock is also a symbol of luck, mainly if it has four leaves. It was also an important symbol to the ancient Irish druids who believed that everything important in the world comes in threes, like the three dominions of earth, sky, and sea, as an example.
– The Cliffs of Moher is Ireland’s most visited tourist attraction. You have to visit it by yourself to understand why, but even pictures of the Cliffs look majestic and breathtaking. They rise as high as 702 feet (214 m) above the sea and range for about 5 miles over the Atlantic ocean.
– The Atlantic Puffin who prefer the west coast of Ireland with its cliffs, where they feel safe, being away from predators like foxes or rats. These birds are interesting in a way that they look both like a penguin and a toucan. They took the best of two worlds – they can fly and they can swim!
– The bodhrán is an Irish frame drum. A goatskin head is mostly used on one side, with the other side being open-ended for one hand to be placed against the inside of the drum head to control the pitch and timbre.

There is more on the back of the mug. Stay tuned!
