Been There Christmas – California

Yet another Christmas Edition mug, Starbucks Been There Christmas California has been revealed by a generous collector. Like I’ve mentioned before, Starbucks is “hiding” a small cup in each Been There design. In case of Christmas mugs, that cup is red, making it the only colored element from the whole mug! For California Gold, this particular detail can be seen on the front.… Read more

Been There Christmas – San Francisco

So far the West Coast is winning in this Been There Christmas race. Here is another mug from that collection – Starbucks Been There Christmas San Francisco I really like those Painted Ladies from the front (houses repainted in three or more colors that enhance their architectural details) on the steep street. Well, the fact that they’re painted is not as obvious as seen on the regular mug, since the only color used here is gold.… Read more

Been There Christmas – Chicago

Been There Christmas mugs are popping up here and there! Starbucks Been There Christmas Chicago has been revealed even before being officially released in stores. Everything from the regular BT mug can be found here: subway wagon, baseball bat, football ball, sailboat, Chicago-style pizza (deep-dish pizza), and the flag of Chicago.
Did you know, that the historical events represented by the stars on the flag are Fort Dearborn, the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893, and the Century of Progress Exposition of 1933–34.… Read more

Been There Christmas – New York

Starbucks Been There Christmas New York has been spotted for sale, but not in stores, coming obviously from people who have early access to pre-released merchandise. Starbucks marks shipping boxes with “no picking before November 2” labels, yet it doesn’t stop some baristas. I still suggest waiting till official release, and buy it for the face value. Sometimes it is worth the wait.… Read more

Been There Christmas – Texas

Been There Christmas Texas mug joins the party of Starbucks Been There Christmas Collection. Similar to regular mug it kept all state symbols, while having that festive look with gold linings on the white background. Btw, if you decide to use it on the daily basis, please remember, you can’t place it in microwave, because of the gold paint used. While I am sure Starbucks didn’t use real gold (you wish!), paint probably has metal particles in it. … Read more

Been There Christmas – Seattle

Here’s the another Christmas mug – Starbucks Been There Christmas Seattle. Again, it pretty much looks like the regular one, except being black and white. The first Starbucks store, a.k.a. the Pike Place Starbucks store, a.k.a. the Original Starbucks, which opened it’s doors in 1971, is presented on the front of the mug. The design of the store hasn’t change since and serves as touristic attraction nowadays, while being fully operational. While the Original Starbucks is always overcrowded, it is really hard to resist the temptation of coming inside and ordering a cup of coffee or buying a mug.… Read more

Been There Christmas – Washington

The first mug from Christmas collection for Been There Series is already here! As you can see, it is actually company’s home state – Starbucks Been There Christmas Washington. The design pretty much replicates the regular BT mug, keeping all state symbols. All colors have been removed though, except one very interesting detail. I made a collage of the regular BT Washington and Christmas Edition below. As you can see the standard cup (the one Starbucks “hides” in every Been There design) was replaced with the holiday one, painted in red making it the only colored element on the mug.… Read more

Been There Ornament – New Hampshire

Starbucks Been There Ornament New Hampshire is 64th ornament from this series released so far. We do know there is also Pike Place mini waiting it’s time, but that’s it. I really hope it wont take long for the next batch of ornaments to be revealed.
As for New Hampshire mug, here are some State symbols from the front:
– State flag, adopted in 1909. It features the state seal with the frigate Raleigh surrounded by laurel leaves and nine stars against a field of blue.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Maine

Here is Starbucks Been There Ornament Maine. From the front of the mug:
– Moose has been chosen as official state animal in 1979
– Pine cone – hence the state’s nickname: The Pine Tree State. The pine is used as a symbol in the state’s seal, flag, flower, and tree.
– Sea shell, fishing hook, fishing float and seiners (fishing boat) – all relate to ocean playing a major part in Maine’s history and present days. In fact, Maine’s beautiful landscape, famous for its unchanged scenery and opportunities for hunting, fishing and boating has made recreation an important industry.… Read more
