Discovery Series Ornament – Cambridge

It seems that Starbucks decided to release as many Discovery Series locations as quickly as possible. And we get ornaments for the locations that never got one before. This is exactly the case with the Discovery Series Ornament—Cambridge because just as I got back from my trip to Boston, this little mug was spotted online.

Cambridge, founded in 1630, has a rich history deeply intertwined with American academic and revolutionary heritage. Originally part of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, the area was a crucial site during the American Revolution and later became home to two of the world’s most prestigious universities: Harvard (founded in 1636) and MIT.… Read more

Discovery Series – Boston

The market’s central colonnade is often filled with street performers and musicians, creating a lively atmosphere that perfectly captures Boston’s vibrant spirit.… Read more

Discovery Series Ornament – Boston

Boston, founded in 1630, is one of America’s oldest cities and played a pivotal role in the American Revolution. Key events like the Boston Tea Party and Paul Revere’s ride occurred here. The city became a center of abolitionism in the 19th century and later developed into a hub for education and innovation, home to renowned institutions like Harvard University and MIT.… Read more

Been There Christmas – Boston

Starbucks Been There Christmas Boston is the Holiday Edition of the second version of the existing mug. As a reminder, Boston was one of the mugs with misprint (see this post for more details). As for this particular mug, the actual error was “Boston Commons” instead of “Boston Common” on the back of the mug. As you can see on the pic below, Christmas edition, as expected, has the proper wording.

Been There – Boston 2

Thanks to my amazing reader, I have this exclusive news to share with you. Here’s Starbucks Been There Boston v2 mug. Wait, what? You heard it right – this is version 2 of the previously posted Boston mug. Here’s the comparison picture for you:

I know, these photos are really blurry, but we can still see, that v1 has “Boston Commons” on the back of the mug instead of “Boston Common” found on v2. Ironically this is a very common mistake made by tourists and non-locals.… Read more
