Starbucks Discovery Series Denver is a mug for the “Mile High City”. Its history begins with its founding in 1858 during the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush, when prospectors established a mining camp at the confluence of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek. The city was officially incorporated in 1861 and named after James W. Denver, the governor of Kansas Territory. Here’s another addition to the Campus Collection, a mug from the Centennial State, Starbucks Been There – University of Colorado Boulder. CU Boulder is the flagship university of the University of Colorado System. It was fascinating to learn that it was founded five months before Colorado became a state in 1876. Another rather interesting fact is that CU Boulder is the alma mater for 5 Nobel Prize laureates and 10 Pulitzer Prize winners so far.
The front of the mug showcases the aerial views of the campus, Folsom Field (stadium), and the beautiful peaks of the Rocky Mountains in the background.… Read more

The brand new Starbucks Been There Ornament Colorado has light blue string and the inside. What’s seen on the front of the mug:
– two small oil pumpjacks
– The flag of the state of Colorado
– the “Centennial State” nickname. It is because Colorado became a state a century after the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence.
– Colorado Bighorn – is a species of sheep specific to this particular region
– some kind for spruce or fir, which is the only green element on the mug.… Read more
