Been There – San Miguel is a mug for one of El Salvador’s oldest and most influential cities, founded in 1530 during the early Spanish colonial period. Over the centuries, it grew into a commercial and cultural center of the eastern region, shaped by its fertile lands, volcanic surroundings and strong agricultural traditions. Starbucks Been There – El Salvador is a mug for the smallest country in Central America. One of the elements on the front of the mug is Pupusa. This is a national Salvadoran dish which is essentially a thick corn tortilla stuffed with the filling of your choice, which usually includes beef, beans, cheese, or pork. Pupusas are often served with curtido, a fermented cabbage relish, which usually includes carrots, onions, spices, and garlic.
