Discovery Series – Edmonton
This Canadian city release is coming from Alberta. Discovery Series Edmonton joins the ornament that I reviewed earlier.
Edmonton is the capital of Alberta and one of Canada’s northernmost major cities, with a history rooted in fur trading, river transport, and western expansion. Founded around Fort Edmonton along the North Saskatchewan River, the city grew into a political, cultural, and economic center for the province. Its identity blends government institutions with outdoor space and year-round community life. Today, Edmonton is known for its balance of urban energy and natural landscapes.
Here are some of the scenes and symbols that reflect Edmonton’s character, history, and everyday culture.
– River valley refers to the North Saskatchewan River Valley, the largest stretch of urban parkland in North America. It runs through the heart of the city with miles of trails, green space, and scenic viewpoints. The river valley is used year-round for walking, cycling, and winter activities. It plays a central role in Edmontons layout and outdoor lifestyle.
– Canada’s Festival City highlights Edmonton’s reputation for hosting festivals throughout the year. Events celebrating music, food, theatre, and culture take place in all seasons, including winter.
