Here is the second out of three Star Wars mugs that were released this year. Starbucks Discovery Series Endor is designed using the green color palette to reflect the Star Wars Universe’s one of the most memorable forest worlds. It was introduced in Return of the Jedi as the location of the climactic battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. More specifically, the events of the film take place on the forest moon of Endor, a densely wooded world filled with towering trees, hidden villages, and native Ewok tribes. The Starbucks mug design captures many of the iconic moments, vehicles, and characters associated with Endor, combining scenes from the film with the moon’s lush forest environment. The artwork leans heavily into the adventure and atmosphere of the original trilogy.

Featured throughout the design are several landmarks, vehicles, and memorable scenes tied to Endor and Return of the Jedi.

– Ewoks appear across the artwork as the native inhabitants of the forest moon. These small, resourceful creatures became unlikely allies of the Rebel Alliance during the battle against the Empire. Despite their primitive weapons, the Ewoks played a major role in defeating Imperial ground forces.

– The Ewok village is represented through the elevated wooden structures built high among the massive forest trees. Connected by rope bridges and platforms, the treetop settlement became one of the most recognizable locations from Return of the Jedi.

– The Ewoks mistaking C-3PO for the “Golden One” references one of the lighter moments from the film. Because of his shiny gold appearance, the Ewoks believed C-3PO to be a deity-like figure, carrying him through the village and treating him with reverence before eventually listening to his stories about the Rebel Alliance.

– AT-ST walkers are shown towering above the forest scenery. These Imperial scout walkers were deployed during the ground battle on Endor and became central to several combat scenes involving the Ewoks and Rebel forces.

– The Galactic Empire and Resistance symbols appear throughout the design, referencing the larger conflict surrounding the Battle of Endor. The destruction of the second Death Star marked one of the Empire’s greatest defeats and a turning point for the Rebel Alliance.

– Leia and Wicket’s first encounter is reflected through the scene showing the princess alongside the small Ewok. After Leia crashed in the forests of Endor, she met Wicket W. Warrick, who cautiously approached her with a spear before eventually helping her escape danger. Their meeting became one of the most memorable introductions in the original trilogy.

– The Endor speeder chase is referenced through the fast-moving vehicles racing through the forest. The high-speed chase between Imperial scout troopers and Luke Skywalker through the dense woods remains one of the most famous action sequences in Return of the Jedi.

– The Lambda-class T-4a shuttle appears to be flying above the forest scenery. This Imperial shuttle transported Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and Imperial officers throughout the original trilogy and became one of the Empire’s most recognizable spacecraft designs.

– The SLD-26 planetary shield generator antenna is represented through the large Imperial installation shown within the artwork. Located on Endor, this shield generator protected the second Death Star with a powerful energy shield. Destroying the facility became the Rebels’ primary objective during the Battle of Endor.
