Starbucks Discovery Series Ornament Crait is an ornament for a mineral planet in the Star Wars universe, most notably featured in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Once home to a Rebel Alliance outpost, the planet later became a hidden base for the Resistance. Its stark white surface, layered over deep red mineral deposits, creates one of the most visually striking landscapes in the saga. The abandoned facilities and remote location made it an ideal place for secrecy and last stands.

The design highlights several recognizable elements from Crait, capturing its harsh environment and key moments from the story.

– BB-8 appears on the front of the mug, positioned above the cracked white surface of the planet. The small astromech droid is shown navigating the icy crust, a nod to his presence alongside the Resistance forces. His bright orange and white design contrasts sharply with the muted tones of the terrain.

– The salt flats of Crait define the planet’s unique look. The white outer layer is thin and brittle, easily broken to reveal the vivid red mineral beneath. This effect is often seen during movement across the surface, leaving behind dramatic red streaks.

– Rey lifting rocks references the climactic moment in The Last Jedi when Rey uses the Force to clear a path for the trapped Resistance members. Large stones rise and shift, opening an escape route from the cave. This scene highlights her growing power and marks a turning point in the story.

– Resistance ski speeders are featured in motion across the landscape. These low-flying vehicles are used during the battle on Crait, kicking up red plumes as they cut through the salt layer. Their worn, mechanical design adds to the gritty tone of the scene.

– The crystal fox (Vulptex) is depicted with its translucent, shimmering body. Native to Crait, these creatures have fur embedded with crystalline structures that reflect light. They are shown navigating the terrain and guiding characters through hidden passages.
