You Are Here – Trondheim

Starbucks You Are Here – Trondheim is a mug for the third most populous municipality in Norway located on the south shore of Trondheim Fjord. It is a pretty old city, founded in 997 as a trading post under the name of Kaupangen, later renamed Nidaros. The city served as the capital of Norway during the Viking Age until 1217.
The design of the mug is very simple, showcasing the views of the city with old buildings located right on the water.… Read more

You Are Here – Luxembourg

Starbucks You Are Here – Luxembourg is the first YAH mug for this country. Something tells me it will be the only one since this collection is being phased out. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is one of the smallest countries in Europe but is also one of the richest countries in the world as per GDP per capita and purchasing power.
The design of the mug is very laconic with few elements (apart from the city street with the old buildings):
– The Adolphe Bridge is a double-decked arch bridge in Luxembourg City.… Read more

You Are Here – Antwerp

Starbucks You Are Here – Antwerp is a mug for a city in the Flemish Region of Belgium. Here are some points of interest from the mug:
– Antwerp Zoo, opened on 21 July 1843, is the oldest animal park in the country, and one of the oldest in the world.
– The statue of Pieter Paul Rubens, Flemish Baroque painter is located at the Groenplaats (Green Square). A proponent of Baroque style that emphasized movement and color, spent most of his life in Antwerp and is greatly honored by its citizens.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament Christmas – Turkey

A brand new release has just popped up online. This is You Are Here Ornament Christmas – Turkey which is the second Holiday mini mug from this country. The first one is the Istanbul ornament of course. And just as a reminder, it remains the only city Christmas ornament outside of the US!
As you can see from the pictures below, apart from the gold color, there are very few Christmas symbols on the new mug: only the hat and the gift box.… Read more

Hong Kong Disneyland is celebrating 15 Years of Magical Dreams with exclusive Starbucks merchandise. A special ceremony in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams was held today to mark this milestone. There are special decorations, banners, and outfits for many Disney friends made with purple, pink, and gold colors!… Read more

You Are Here – Cape Town

Even though the release of Starbucks You Are Here – Cape Town has been delayed for two years, it is still nice to see it finally coming out. Better late than never, they say. This release is accompanying the opening of the first Starbucks store in this South African city. It was announced back in 2018, but for some reason did not happen. The store will be open to the public this Thursday, but it seems that some people were able to get this mug earlier, probably at the party for the media that was held today.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament Christmas – Norway

Just recently I’ve mentioned the release of the new mini mug from this Nordic country and we have its Holiday edition sibling Starbucks You Are Here Ornament Christmas – Norway hitting the shelves. For easier comparison, I’ve placed this new ornament next to the regular one and there is one interesting detail that I would like to point out. Apart from Holiday symbols added to the design, the shape of the Christmas trees is different on both the front and the back of the mug.… Read more

You Are Here Christmas – Ireland

Starbucks You Are Here Christmas – Ireland is the latest addition to the Holiday mugs family. As you can see from the pictures below, the differences with the regular mug are subtle: Holiday hats and gift boxes. I would also like to point at Santa Claus’s sleigh at the roof of the house (see the back of the mug). Speaking out of my head, I don’t recall this nice little detail from any other Christmas mugs.

Been There Christmas – Pike Place 2

This could easily be the most exciting Starbucks release of the 2020 Holiday Season. Been There Christmas – Pike Place v2 introduces a completely unique design, never seen before. As you can see from the picture, the color of the mug is something in between chocolate and hickory with golden letters. The same gold color was also used to outline the symbols of Pike Place Market. I like this new design a lot! Let me know in the comments about your thoughts on this mug.… Read more
