Been There Christmas mugs

After so many Christmas YAH mugs from the last holiday season it was somewhat obvious that Starbucks will try the same approach for the new Been There series at some point. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised that Been There Christmas edition mugs are now set to be released as soon as this November.
Here is a little bit bigger picture, it shows 23 mugs so far. Don’t get upset if you don’t see your favorite location, I am sure there will be more to come.… Read more

Been There Ornament – North Carolina

The big portion of Starbucks Been There Ornament North Carolina mug is occupied by a picture of sand dunes with small wooden bridge over them. We can see the ocean behind. More than half of North Carolina’s coast is concentrated in the Outer Banks, a series of barrier islands divided into 4 regions ideal for all year, and especially summer, vacations.
Other notable elements:
– That flower at the bottom, it doesn’t look like dogwood, official state flower. So I wonder what is it?… Read more

Been There Ornament – Utah

Here is Starbucks Been There Ornament Utah with red string. From the front of the mug:
– The Great Salt Lake – is the largest salt water lake in North America. It’s size fluctuates significantly though, due to its shallowness. Interesting to know, that it is a remnant of Lake Bonneville, a much larger lake, existed 16000 years ago.
– Dinosaur National Monument – located on the border of Utah and Colorado. Here, many fossils are embedded in a sloping rock formation that was once a sandbar on the edge of a large river.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Arizona

For some obvious reasons, the central part on the front of Starbucks Been There Ornament Arizona is given to The Grand Canyon – known for its visually overwhelming size and its intricate and colorful landscape. It attracts millions of tourists each year, and is one of the well known symbols of US. What else?
– Baseball bat – Arizona is a popular location for Major League Baseball spring training, as it is the site of the Cactus League
– Lizard – this one doesn’t look like any of Arizona lizards: Gila Monster, Chuckwalla Lizard or Horned Toad
– The Sand Hill state nickname, not used anymore and is possibly a reference to Yuma County.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Arkansas

Here’s Starbucks Been There Ornament Arkansas and this is what we can see on the front of it:
– The Wonder State – this nickname served the state of Arkansas as the official nickname from 1923 to 1947. This name was adopted by concurrent resolution of the legislature to promote Arkansas’ abundance of natural resources and to replace the nickname, the Bear State, which was so widely in use and, it was feared, gave a false impression of the state.
– Mockingbird – Arkansas State Bird since 1929.… Read more
