Discovery Series – Chicago

Starbucks Discovery Series – Chicago mug compliments the ornament that I reviewed earlier. I’ve already gone over these symbols and landmarks from the ornament: Chicago-style hot dog, the Chicago “L”, Chicago Botanic Garden, and Chicago’s musical heritage. Starbucks Been There Ornament Chicago has grey string and the following elements on the front:
a subway wagon – that’s for The Chicago “L” which is Chicago’s rapid transit system. It the second-busiest rail mass transit system in the United States (after NYC).
a baseball bat – is the reference to the Chicago Cubs – an American professional baseball team
a football ball – for the Chicago Bears – a professional American football team
a sailboat – is the reference to Chicago being located on the shore of Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes, and the only one being entirely in US.… Read more
