You Are Here – Sihanoukville
Starbucks You Are Here – Sihanoukville is the recent release for the YAH series from Cambodia. It seems the company still has a couple of aces up its sleeve. What caught my attention, though, it doesn’t seem that designers spelled the name of the city properly, namely, they used a space between “Sihanouk” and “ville”. I can’t find this way of spelling this city anywhere else, so it looks like an error to me. However don’t expect the “fixed” v2, as no one is going to release that at the twilight of the YAH series.… Read more
Been There – Arequipa
Starbucks Been There – Arequipa has also been released today, along with the other three Peruvian mugs. The city is the seat of the Constitutional Court of Peru and often dubbed “legal capital of Peru.”

Been There – Cusco
I now think that Starbucks Been There – Cusco mug had to be released no matter what since the Constitution of Peru designates it as the Historical Capital of Peru (it was the historic capital of the Inca Empire between the 13th and 16th century). It attracts more than 2 million visitors a year as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a major touristic destination.

You Are Here – Tokyo
Starbucks never ceases to amaze me with its releases; that’s maybe why I keep collecting. This weekend brings us pictures of the brand new mug from Japan. We are used to multiple versions of Japan country mugs, representing different seasons, but this time it’s a city mug – Starbucks You Are Here – Tokyo!
This new design features the city skyline with Mount Fuji in the background. And while it’s about 50 miles between the city and the mountain, you can still see the latter from certain spots in Tokyo, especially if you find yourself on the roof of a tall building.… Read more

Another mug from the Holiday release in the Philippines is Starbucks You Are Here Christmas – Manila v3. As I mentioned in the post for Philippines v3 mug, the box is red and outlines are silver (same as v2), however the name and the Christmas decorations are silver-red.

Starbucks You Are Here – Belfast was expected to be released along with Northern Ireland mug, but got delayed. It only gets to stores this week and we can review it.

Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvellous City) is joining BT mugs series with Starbucks Been There – Rio de Janeiro.
Did you know that the name of the city literally translates as the River of January? And the reason for this is pretty prosaic: Portuguese expedition under explorer Gaspar de Lemos first encountered Guanabara Bay on 1 January 1502 and named it Ria de Janeiro (“January’s Lagoon”). Ria became Rio (river) later and the actual city was only founded on 1 March 1565 under the name São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro.… Read more
