Discovery Series Disney – Epcot

Starbucks Discovery Series Disney – Epcot mug is out. Like I’ve mentioned in my previous post, the circle (or sphere) on the front of the mug is blue, in contrast with other mugs from this collection.

Epcot, short for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, is a unique and visionary theme park located in Walt Disney World Resort. Opened on October 1, 1982, Epcot offers an immersive experience that celebrates the wonders of human achievement, innovation, and cultural diversity. Divided into two distinct sections, Future World and World Showcase, Epcot combines futuristic technology, thrilling attractions, and a global tapestry of pavilions representing different countries.… Read more

Discovery Series Disney – Magic Kingdom

Starbucks Discovery Series Disney – Magic Kingdom is the newest mug from the Walt Disney World Resort. The design of this release shares an interesting detail with other mugs from this collection, namely, the big yellow circle right in front of the mug (the circle is orange for California Adventure and blue for Epcot). I can only assume it symbolizes sun?

Here are the points of interest and symbols of Magic Kingdom park that made it to the design of the mug:

– Space Mountain is an iconic indoor roller coaster located in Tomorrowland.… Read more

Discovery Series Disney – Disneyland Park

It all started with Discovery Series Disney – Disneyland Park it seems. It was the first mug from the new series that was spotted earlier this week. Here are the symbols and attractions from the park that inspired the Starbucks designers:
– Sleeping Beauty Castle, standing majestically at the heart of Disneyland, is a symbol of enchantment and magic. Inspired by the fairy tale and Disney’s iconic animated film, the castle serves as the centerpiece of the park, welcoming visitors to a realm of imagination and wonder.… Read more

Discovery Series Disney – California Adventure

In my previous post I cautiously suggested that more Discovery Series mugs are coming soon. I guess, I was not wrong, as we’re getting news about new mugs and ornaments from all six Disney Parks.
Discovery Series Disney – California Adventure mug is the first of them that I would like to present to you. I wish Starbucks added the legend of the points of interest depicted on the mug, as it did for the Been There series mug, however this is not the end of the world, as all these attractions are very well known to the visitors of the park.… Read more

Starbucks Discovery Series

This duo of the mug and a matching ornament is very possibly the beginning of a new chapter in the Starbucks collectibles saga! Will this “Starbucks Discovery Series” replace the current Been There Series or this is just “one of”, an exclusive release? It is hard to say now, especially considering that there were absolutely no leaks or rumors about this.
What we know so far is that the shape and the size match Been There and YAH mugs and ornaments.… Read more

Been There Marvel – Wakanda

This is a milestone release from Starbucks and I am sure, that Been There Wakanda is just the first from the new collection of Marvel mugs that are coming soon.
As you can see from the pictures below, the box has an unique design. Even though it’s similar to Star Wars boxes, with each of them having the name of the mug specified, here are some things specific to this new release:
– the cover of the box has a distinctive shade of dark blue, while the box itself is red.… Read more

Been There – Naboo

Starbucks Been There – Naboo is the third mug from the 2022 batch of the Star Wars themed releases. In the Star Wars universe, Naboo was a beautiful planet from the Mid Rim Territories. Originally, it was populated by the amphibian Gungans. One of their representative, Jar Jar Binks, is depicted on the lower front part of the mug. Later in time a group of human colonists from Grizmallt landed on the planet and named it and themselves Naboo. Unfortunately, their arrival led to a series of conflicts with Gungans over territory and resources.… Read more

Been There – Nevarro

This is Starbucks Been There – Nevarro, a mug for the volcanic planet from the Outer Rim Territories. In the time of the New Republic, the planet and its city became headquarters for bounty hunters. Din Djarin, a.k.a “the Mandalorian” or “Mando”, is probably the most well-known among them. He’s depicted right on the front of the mug. Din Djarin dragged the Bounty Hunters’ Guild into the conflict when he rescued Grogu, a.k.a. “The Child” (you can see him on the right side of the front of the mug).… Read more

You Are Here Disney – Disneyland Paris 2

The rumors about the release of the anniversary edition mug, namely You Are Here Disney – Disneyland Paris 2 have been confirmed by the pictures of the actual mug that is now available for sale in the Disney Village. The good news is that the Disney Village is located outside of the parks, so you don’t have to buy tickets to get this special edition item.
