Starbucks Discovery Series

This duo of the mug and a matching ornament is very possibly the beginning of a new chapter in the Starbucks collectibles saga! Will this “Starbucks Discovery Series” replace the current Been There Series or this is just “one of”, an exclusive release? It is hard to say now, especially considering that there were absolutely no leaks or rumors about this.
What we know so far is that the shape and the size match Been There and YAH mugs and ornaments. The boxes are very similar, however the “Discovery Series” title is emphasized with a very large font. There is also a “Disney Collection” additional label on the cover, which is probably a sign of other “collections” coming. The cover and the box itself are both dark green and I don’t recall any Been There series boxes having this color combo.
Another very interesting detail is that the ornament has “Starbucks” written inside it. This is a unique feature that is used for this kind of ornament for the first time. The bigger mug doesn’t seem to have it though.

Again, I cross my fingers in anticipation of more releases of this kind. Stay tuned for the news!
