Been There – Canada’s Wonderland

Been There – Canada’s Wonderland is a mug for Canada’s largest amusement park, which is located near Toronto. It took two years to build the park and it was opened to the public in May 1981. Canada’s Wonderland has the third highest amount of coasters (seventeen) in a single park, right behind Six Flags Magic Mountain in the US and Poland’s Energylandia respectively.

You Are Here Ornament – Krakow is the second in a row city release from the YAH ornament series. Starbucks has been only releasing country ornaments recently, so it is nice to see that there is more than that. There are certainly many countries that we, collectors, would like Starbucks to come up with the ornaments for, but it won’t hurt if cities are added to the schedule too!

This is the second Polish mug from last week’s release, Starbucks You Are Here – Gdańsk, which also has a very pleasant colorful design. Gdańsk is located on the Baltic coast and is Poland’s principal seaport. Together with the cities of Gdynia and the resort town of Sopot, it forms a metropolitan area called the Tricity.

Starbucks You Are Here – Wrocław has also been released past weekend. It makes it the fifth Poland YAH (not counting the Christmas version). Is it me or the latest YAHs are all pretty nice looking, at least the colors used are brighter? I think this is great, it means the designers are still investing time and effort into the You Are Here Collection, even though it is set to be phased out.

Starbucks You Are Here – Nancy is another French city mug coming to stores right now. Nancy is a city in the north-east of the country which was the capital of the Duchy of Lorraine back in the days. Interestingly enough, the Duchy was given to Stanisław Leszczyński (Stanislaus I, former King of Poland), who lost his throne as a result of the War of the Polish Succession in 1737.
