Been There – San Diego

A previously delayed, Starbucks Been There San Diego mug has been spotted in stores. At this point, I can only guess what was the reason for the delay. This can easily be the v2 and we are yet to discover if there was the v1 and what was the misprint.
Update from 2018-06-30: we’re lucky to witness the back of Been There San Diego v1 It was confirmed that delay was caused by misprint. See two mugs side by side:

Been There – Los Angeles 2

Here’s another “delayed” city mug for you guys: Starbucks Been There Los Angeles 2. And yes, it is different from previously posted LA version 1 Here is the picture of two mugs side by side:

The actual misprint is “City of The Angels” instead of “City of Angels”. Way too many errors in this series… Do you agree? It almost makes me think this was done on purpose. … Read more

Been There – Boston 2

Thanks to my amazing reader, I have this exclusive news to share with you. Here’s Starbucks Been There Boston v2 mug. Wait, what? You heard it right – this is version 2 of the previously posted Boston mug. Here’s the comparison picture for you:

I know, these photos are really blurry, but we can still see, that v1 has “Boston Commons” on the back of the mug instead of “Boston Common” found on v2. Ironically this is a very common mistake made by tourists and non-locals.… Read more

You Are Here – Spain

Here’s newly released Starbucks You Are Here Spain mug. According to the design of it, all you need to know about Spain:
– lots of sun
– sea, ocean, beaches and palm trees
– soccer (it is called football in Europe)
– Flamenco – which is not just the dance but a set of music traditions of Southern Spain.
I still need to see the back of the mug to finish this list though.… Read more

You Are Here – Scotland

More European country YAHs are coming, as promised. Here’s Starbucks You Are Here Scotland. I would like to mention Loch Ness Monster which found its place on the mug. Even though it’s just a part of the folklore, along with a famous photo of “Nessie” made in 1934 which was confirmed to be a hoax, it still draws people’s attention and attracts tourists to lake Loch Ness.… Read more

Been There – North Dakota 2

I’ve got some exclusive photos from one of the collectors and I hasten to share them with you. Here’s Starbucks Been There North Dakota v2 mug brand new and improved. Specifically, Starbucks fixed the error it made for “Geographical Center of North America” monument installed in Rugby, ND (see side-by-side photos). I also find it very amusing, that the picture of the monument was made smaller in order for it to be moved up North on the map of the US.… Read more

Been There – Montana 2

The second, fixed version of recently revealed mug, Starbucks Been There Montana 2 is out! As a reminder, the misprint was on the front of the mug. It is now saying “Bitterroot” instead of “Bitteroot”. We can only guess how many mugs with error were produced, and what’s more important, how many were sold.
Update from 2018-05-19: please see side-by-side comparison of the front of the mugs, where the misprint is (missing ‘r’ in the Bitterroot word).

Been There – Denver

I somehow missed this mug, meanwhile Starbucks Been There Denver mug is being sold all across Colorado. From what I can see the mug is mostly dedicated to wildlife and outdoor activites, which makes complete sense since few places in North America offer such a bounty of wildlife-watching opportunities as Colorado and Denver area in particular. … Read more

Been There – Nebraska 2

Mugs with fixed misprints, a.k.a. V2s, continue coming to the scene. It was last week when Starbucks Been There Nebraska v2 mug has finally been spotted in stores. As you can see, the state motto was fixed to “Good Life. Great Opportunity” as it was supposed to be initially.
Update from 2018-05-19: added a side-by-side comparison of v1 and v2

You Are Here – Norway

If you’re missing YAHs already, here is the small treat – Starbucks You Are Here – Norway mug. As it was planned, this summer will be the Country mugs season. This particular mug has a very vivid design with popping colors: red, blue and white are pretty much the only colors used. We see two Norwegian flags (like one was not enough), mountains, snow and Christmas trees. Add here skis to emphasise skiing being huge in Norway and Oseberg Ship – a well-preserved Viking ship displayed at the Viking Ship Museum at Bygdøy and you are going to get pretty much the full picture of this mug.… Read more
