You Are Here – Torino

Thanks to a comment from one of our readers on the Turin mug post, we now know that Starbucks has released an updated version of the mug featuring the city’s Italian name. You can compare the two mugs side by side using the images below. It appears that You Are Here Torino includes no changes other than the updated title.

You Are Here – Italia

Thanks to a blog reader, I was finally able to acquire good photos of the newly released You Are Here Italia mug. It is essentially an exact copy of the mug released seven years ago, with the only difference being the use of the country’s name in Italian: Italia instead of Italy.

Thanks to a heads-up from our reader, it came to our attention that in line with the update to the country mug that adopted the Italian name, Starbucks also introduced the You Are Here Milano mug, featuring the city’s name in its native language. The design of this release is identical to the Milan mug; you can see this for yourself by comparing it with the pictures of the original mug from this post. You Are Here Ornament – Italia

Along with an updated mug for the capital city, Starbucks has also released a new version of the country ornament! A brand-new design was spotted in stores, and it appears to be replacing the previous one. You Are Here Ornament – Italia uses the name Italians actually use for their country. Interestingly, I haven’t seen the larger mug yet, but I’m sure it’s coming soon.

The name “Italia” has ancient roots, tracing back to the Greeks, who referred to a portion of Southern Italy as “Italói,” possibly derived from a word meaning “calf” or “young bull.” This symbol, often associated with fertility and strength, may reflect the region’s pastoral richness.… Read more
