You Are Here – Roma

Starbucks has released an updated version of the mug for the capital of Italy: You Are Here – Roma. You can see a comparison of the two mugs below; they are identical except for the city name. Roma is how the locals say it — a name as timeless as the city itself.

Speaking of names, here are some of Rome’s most iconic nicknames:

– The Eternal City
Roma is known as The Eternal City because its legacy spans thousands of years, from the rise of the Roman Empire to today’s bustling capital. Its ancient ruins, like the Colosseum and Roman Forum, stand as reminders that time may pass, but Rome endures. The nickname reflects a belief held even by ancient Romans—that the city would last forever.

– Caput Mundi (Capital of the World)

The phrase Caput Mundi, Latin for “Capital of the World,” highlights the city’s unmatched influence during that era.
