Been There Ornament – Georgia

Starbucks Been There Ornament Georgia is mostly blue and has light blue string as well.
Do you know why is Georgia called the Empire State of the South? I believe it’s because of its role in the civil war. It was, and at certain extent remains, the transportation hub and financial center of the region. I have to add, that this nickname is rarely used nowadays, with the Peach State predominating. … Read more

Been There Ornament – Kentucky

I really like Starbucks Been There Ornament Kentucky because of its blue palette. Two main elements from the front (way less than those from the bigger mug):
Mammoth Cave – the longest cave system known in the world
Bluegrass Balloon Festival – a.k.a. the Adam Matthews Balloon Festival, was the fifth largest hot air balloon festival in the United States, and the largest in the state of Kentucky
The string of the ornament is light blue.… Read more

Been There Ornament – South Carolina

Been There Ornament South Carolina – I can still see two birds, beach ball, peach and probably Firefly Sweet Tea cocktail.
There is also Fort Sumter – one of many East Coast fortifications built after the War of 1812. Work started in 1829, but was incomplete by 1860, when South Carolina seceded from the Union.
The string is pink.

Been There Ornament – Texas

Starbucks Been There Ornament Texas has probably one of the most laconic designs so far. As far as I can see, the front has only these items:
– a cowboy boot and hat – obviously
– a star shaped sheriff’s badge – a very well known element from Westerns (movies)
– I can also mention a pair of cacti, but they are leaning towards the side of the mug
And that’s it! The string is light orange, btw.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Canada

Here’s Starbucks Been There Ornament Canada the only country mini mug from this series. Interesting enough, there was never a mug for US as a country. The string is red and the following are elements from the front of the mug: moose, beaver, maple leaf and syrop, poutine, snowflakes. … Read more

Been There Ornament – Chicago

Starbucks Been There Ornament Chicago has grey string and the following elements on the front:

a football ball – for the Chicago Bears – a professional American football team
a sailboat – is the reference to Chicago being located on the shore of Lake Michigan, one of the Great Lakes, and the only one being entirely in US.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Dallas

In the contrast to the busy design of the bigger mug, Starbucks Been There Ornament Dallas has very few elements on the front:
Bigger’n Dallas stands for “bigger than Dallas” and is usually used to describe some impossible-to-miss object or event. It comes back from the days when Dallas was the biggest city in the state.
a football ball – probably referring to Dallas Cowboys – a professional American football team.
a guitar – referring to Annual Dallas International Guitar Festival which is the oldest and largest guitar festival show in the world
a cowboy hat – no explanation is needed
a head of a cow/bull.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Waikiki

Hawaii BTO is followed by Starbucks Been There Ornament Waikiki. They were actually spotted together, which makes sense. This mini mug has orange string and it’s front is mostly occupied by Diamond Head State Monument. I don’t necessary agree that the real mountain looks exactly like it is pictured, but it is what it is.… Read more
