Like I’ve mentioned in my previous post, here is the second mug from the recent U.S. release: Starbucks Been There – The Florida Keys. It is a mug for the 120 miles long chain of islands that begins at the tip of Florida and ends just 90 miles to the North from Cuba. The Keys are divided into five regions: Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine, and Lower Keys and Key West. The great part of the keys is that you can get there by car. The coral and limestone islands are linked by 42 bridges, with the biggest of them being almost seven miles long. Together, they form the Overseas Highway, which was built by 1928 in the form of two segments with the ferry between them. It was later extended into a continuous highway using the parts of the Overseas Railroad (which was damaged by Hurricane in 1935). The entire route from Miami to Key West (the southernmost point) was opened to the public in 1938.
