You Are Here Ornament – Ho Chi Minh 2

Along with the bigger mug, Starbucks released You Are Here Ornament – Ho Chi Minh 2, which is an updated version of the existing ornament. It has been a while since we’ve seen the last release from this collection, and that’s more than 3 years after the release of the Been There Vietnam ornament.

Again, I don’t understand the reasoning for the release, but I am really happy to add this ornament to my collection.

Unique mugs selection in Starbucks stores in Vietnam

Starbucks stores in Vietnam found themselves in a unique situation, where they can offer four different collections of mugs, ornaments, and demis, some of them 10 years apart between the releases. And I think this is great, it gives the customers an option to choose what they really like. They are not forced to only buy mugs from the latest collection as it happens in most other countries.

Starbucks has opened two new stores in Vietnam, both in Nha Trang city. Both have promos during the first two days from the opening. You Are Here Ornament – Nha Trang was given as a gift with any purchase on April 28th at the Nha Trang Center location! At the time I am posting this, the day is over in Vietnam, but it is not too late to get the Bearista Key Chain for any purchase on Apr 29th.
Nha Trang makes it the sixth YAH ornament from Vietnam and raises the question of how is it possible to still release YAHs, with Been There Vietnam mugs already on the shelves?… Read more

Been There – Ho Chi Minh

Here’s another mug from the pair that has been revealed recently by Starbucks Vietnam. Been There – Ho Chi Minh brought some controversy in the comments below the official news post of this release. It seems that many people would prefer Saigon over Ho Chi Minh for the name of the mug. There could be a couple of reasons for that. Been There – Hanoi

Starbucks Been There – Hanoi is the first BT city mug from Vietnam. According to their official Facebook page, this new release is available in stores right now.
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the second-largest city in the country. “City for Peace” was the title presented to Hanoi by UNESCO on 16 July 1999. You can see this nickname on the front of the mug.
“Ancient Capital” or “The Capital of The Thousand Years Of Civilization” is another nickname that gives us an idea of how old the city is.… Read more
