I almost forgot I added this to my collection earlier. Starbucks You Are Here Ornament – Phu Quoc is the ninth mini YAH from Vietnam. I made a full review of the bigger mug here, and the ornament is a complete copy of it.
With that being said, my Starbucks You Are Here Ornaments collection is concluded, for now…
Along with the bigger mug, Starbucks released You Are Here Ornament – Ho Chi Minh 2, which is an updated version of the existing ornament. It has been a while since we’ve seen the last release from this collection, and that’s more than 3 years after the release of the Been There Vietnam ornament.
Again, I don’t understand the reasoning for the release, but I am really happy to add this ornament to my collection.
Absolutely out of nowhere, You Are Here Ho Chi Minh City 2 was revealed to the world. I am tired of sounding like a broken record, but Starbucks managed to surprise me again! And the reason no one was expecting this, is that Starbucks already released Been There version of the mug for this city more than three years ago!

Starbucks You Are Here – Phú Quốc is probably the last Vietnamese mug from this series since we already seeing Been There on the shelves. Starbucks You Are Here Hoi An mug came out in 2022, almost two years after the release of the country mug from the Been There series! Starbucks stores in Vietnam found themselves in a unique situation, where they can offer four different collections of mugs, ornaments, and demis, some of them 10 years apart between the releases. And I think this is great, it gives the customers an option to choose what they really like. They are not forced to only buy mugs from the latest collection as it happens in most other countries.

Starbucks has opened two new stores in Vietnam, both in Nha Trang city. Both have promos during the first two days from the opening. You Are Here Ornament – Nha Trang was given as a gift with any purchase on April 28th at the Nha Trang Center location! At the time I am posting this, the day is over in Vietnam, but it is not too late to get the Bearista Key Chain for any purchase on Apr 29th.
Nha Trang makes it the sixth YAH ornament from Vietnam and raises the question of how is it possible to still release YAHs, with Been There Vietnam mugs already on the shelves?… Read more
Here’s another mug from the pair that has been revealed recently by Starbucks Vietnam. Been There – Ho Chi Minh brought some controversy in the comments below the official news post of this release. It seems that many people would prefer Saigon over Ho Chi Minh for the name of the mug. There could be a couple of reasons for that. Starbucks Been There – Hanoi is the first BT city mug from Vietnam. According to their official Facebook page, this new release is available in stores right now.
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the second-largest city in the country. “City for Peace” was the title presented to Hanoi by UNESCO on 16 July 1999. You can see this nickname on the front of the mug.
“Ancient Capital” or “The Capital of The Thousand Years Of Civilization” is another nickname that gives us an idea of how old the city is.… Read more
