Starbucks Been There Ornament – Korea started appearing in stores along with the regular size mug, as expected. I am also seeing a similar amount of points of interest on the front and the back of the mini mug, which is not always the case with this series. We’re yet to see all the sides to confirm if there are elements unique to the ornament. The string is green, as is the inside of the mug.

Starbucks Been There Ornament – West Virginia v2, along with the bigger mug, brings the change from “PANHANDLE STATE” to “THE MOUNTAIN STATE” as the state nickname on the front of the mug. It makes much more sense now, especially for locals, who were not too impressed by Starbucks’s choice.

Starbucks Been There Ornament – Vietnam, along with the regular size mug, opens Asia for BT series. Similar to other mugs from this collection, the smaller ones have fewer items depicted or those elements are different. For this particular ornament, I would like to mention a Cycle Rickshaw, which is still a popular touristic attraction in many Vietnamese cities. This three-wheel bicycle taxi is called xích lô (pronounced “sick-low”, from the French cyclo) in Vietnam. “SHOW-ME STATE” fix has been also added to Starbucks Been There Ornament – Missouri v2, very much like the one for the full-size mug. The only difference, though, is that the fix is not as obvious, because the nickname is placed on the side of the mug, rather than the front (as on the bigger mug).… Read more
New and “improved” Starbucks Been There Ornament – New Jersey v2 comes right after the bigger mug. As I’ve mentioned before, the change includes the “Northern Red Oak” writing on the front of the ornament, which is the proper name of the official state tree of New Jersey (adopted in 1950). The photo is provided by a reader, which confirms that the new version is already available in stores.

There have been rumors about this change, but there was no evidence. Well, it is official now, Starbucks Been There Ornament – Oklahoma v2 is out. The only change I am seeing, that they’ve added an apostrophe to the “Boomers Paradise” so it became “Boomers’ Paradise”. Props to those collectors who make no big deal about the new version, but I can’t resist and have to have both in my possession.

Starbucks Been There Ornament – Pennsylvania v2 is an updated version of the previously released mini mug. It brings two changes as far as I can see – the deer now says “Youse!” instead of “Youze!”, “TURN-PIKE” has the dash in the name. It seems that most of the recent changes for Been There mugs are related to dashes, I see them everywhere. Since Starbucks is on hold with new releases, I decided to check the status of the “second versions” which I expected to come out. After the update of the Maryland Been There mug, the release of the matching v2 ornament was just the matter of time. And here it is, Been There Ornament – Maryland v2

Starbucks was pretty consistent in releasing an ornament per day, so please meet Been There Ornament Disney – Epcot with the purple string which finalizes the set of six special mini mugs. As I’ve mentioned in the preview of the bigger mug, earlier this year, Starbucks has used some retro design for Been There Series Epcot. After a short delay, Been There Ornament Disney – Animal Kingdom has been finally spotted in stores. The string is green, as expected.
From the quick review of the mug, it looks like Starbucks decided to not change the position of the words “jambo” (hello) on the back of the mug and “kwaherini” (goodbye) on the front. You probably remember that I expressed my concern about it in the full-size mug review. On a similar note, the not as popular slogan “Truly Alive with Adventure” was kept as well.… Read more
