Been There Disney – Hollywood Studios

Starbucks Been There Disney – Hollywood Studios is the sixth and the last in the group of the Disney mugs which have been released today. It is using a completely new color palette, compared to YAHs for this park, and is obviously filled with the elements, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is famous for. Here are some of them:
– Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith from Sunset Boulevard section of the park. It was opened on July 29, 1999, and has a sibling in Disneyland Paris.… Read more

Been There Disney – Animal Kingdom

Starbucks Been There Disney – Animal Kingdom mug is returning back to its roots with the green palette used in its design. The Tree of Life is back and it takes a huge portion of the mug’s layout. There are many more small and large elements, which is very common to the new Been There series. We can see numerous animals covering all sides for the mug, namely lions (one of them being Simba cave drawing though), rhinoceros, elephant, birds and couple of dinosaurs.… Read more

Been There Disney – California Adventure

Alright, so both Californian mugs have been released today. Here’s Starbucks Been There Disney California Adventure which I find to be the prettiest among new Disney mugs, just because I like the blue colors! As you can see, the box is orange, similar to Universal mugs. It is priced at $19.99, which is not cheap and pretty much what I expected it to be. … Read more

Been There – Medellin

Here’s Starbucks Been There Medellin mug and some symbols of this town. I am purposely avoiding talking about what this town is mostly known for (especially for foreigners) since the city is changing for the better and is trying hard to improve its image.
– Rafael Uribe Uribe Palace of Culture – houses cultural programs such as concerts, conferences and art exhibitions.
– Point Zero Bridge, decorated with a plumb-bob, symbolizes the center of the city and the point of origin for the surveying and numbering of Medellín
– Metrocable – a gondola lift system implemented in order to connect hard-to-reach metro areas to city center.… Read more

Been There – San Juan

Here is Starbucks Been There San Juan, the mug for the capital and the largest city of Puerto Rico. It is the third oldest European-established capital city in the Americas, after Santo Domingo and Panama City.
From the mug:
– Cruise ship – since San Juan is a favorite destination for numerous cruises, you can see 5-6 huge liners docked in the port at times.
– A colorful wooden door, with the Puerto Rican flag on it. I think designers just liked the look and colors of this door, since I could not find any special story behind it.… Read more

Been There – Puerto Rico

With the release of Starbucks Been There Puerto Rico mug, we leave US and Canada behind and move into exploring the rest of the Americas. That’s right, with the introduction of the Been There Series, we are going to see the return of Caribbean and South American mugs. As a reminder, there were multiple Icons released for those regions, but no YAHs. I want to think this is Starbucks meeting the wishes of the collectors and I consider this a positive sign.… Read more
