Discovery Series Disney – California Adventure
In my previous post I cautiously suggested that more Discovery Series mugs are coming soon. I guess, I was not wrong, as we’re getting news about new mugs and ornaments from all six Disney Parks.
Discovery Series Disney – California Adventure mug is the first of them that I would like to present to you. I wish Starbucks added the legend of the points of interest depicted on the mug, as it did for the Been There series mug, however this is not the end of the world, as all these attractions are very well known to the visitors of the park. Here are some of them:
– Carthay Circle Restaurant is a replica of the Los Angeles restaurant with the same name. It servers as DCA’s “castle” and the showpiece of Buena Vista Street.
– The Incredicoaster delivers a thrilling experience that seamlessly combines high-speed excitement with the superhero charm of Pixar’s “The Incredibles.” This coaster, featuring the iconic Incredibles family, takes riders on a pulse-pounding adventure, complete with exhilarating drops, twists, and turns. The ride’s dynamic storyline and synchronized sound effects immerse visitors in the world of superheroes, creating an adrenaline-pumping journey that celebrates the incredible powers of the Parr family. The Incredicoaster stands as a highlight of Pixar Pier, offering guests an unforgettable blend of cinematic storytelling and roller coaster thrills.
– Radiator Springs Racers, a thrilling attraction nestled within the enchanting landscape of Cars Land, offers visitors an exhilarating journey through the picturesque town of Radiator Springs. As guests board race cars outfitted with cutting-edge technology, they embark on a high-speed adventure, winding through stunning desert landscapes and iconic landmarks from the Cars movie. The attraction seamlessly blends storytelling and state-of-the-art ride technology, immersing riders in the world of Lightning McQueen and his friends.
– Pixar Pal-A-Round (formerly Mickey’s Fun Wheel and Sun Wheel) is an eccentric wheel inspired by Wonder Wheel from Coney Island. The attraction features both sliding and fixed gondolas.
– The Cozy Cone Motel, originally conceived as a restaurant in Cars Land, serves as an individual dining or lodging space, creating a quirky and memorable experience for guests. It draws inspiration from the iconic Wigwam Motels scattered along the route 66. Currently, only two Wigwam Motels stand, one in San Bernardino, CA, and the other in Holbrook, AZ.
– Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout is a thrilling and exhilarating ride that takes guests on a wild adventure through the space. As you step into the Collector’s fortress, you are instantly immersed in the chaotic world of the Guardians. The heart-pounding escape mission begins as Rocket Raccoon enlists your help to rescue the captured Guardians from the clutches of the Collector.
– Toy Story Mania is an immersive and interactive experience that brings the magic of the Toy Story franchise to life. As you step into Andy’s room, you are instantly transported into a world of toys and imagination. The ride takes you on a whimsical journey through a series of 3D carnival games, where you join Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the gang in friendly competition.
