Starbucks Been There Arizona 3 mug

Been There – Arizona 3

A similar change to what’s just happened to mini mug we can witness with the release of Been There – Arizona 3. The best way to distinguish the new version from v1 and v2 is to look at the front of it and spot the “Red Rock Sedona” label that’s replaced the “Grand Canyon” (it has been moved to the back of the mug). Another element that can help is two chili peppers just below the title.
If we count the Christmas version too, we now have four variants of the Arizona Been There mug.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Arizona 3

It seems that rather than introducing new locations, Starbucks decided to review the existing ones. You probably remember that Arizona has already seen a revised ornament and a mug, shortly after the new collection came out (it seems that “the Sand Hill State” was not exactly the nickname Arizonians recognized).
Well, as I said, Starbucks has gone even further and completely updated the design with the release of the brand new Been There Ornament – Arizona v3. As you can see from the comparison picture below, most of the design elements of the ornament were rearranged.… Read more

Been There – Barbados

Starbucks Been There – Barbados mug commemorates, in a way, the official opening of the first Starbucks store in this island country from the Caribbean region. Located at Haggatt Hall, Bridgetown (the country’s capital), it welcomes its first customers starting today (July 30).
The mug showcases the flora and fauna of the island, which is one of the major touristic destinations of the region.
I am seeing Carlisle Bay, with Bridgetown in the back. This natural harbor has been turned into a marine park which became a popular spot for scuba diving.… Read more

Been There – Kentucky 2

Long time no see, Starbucks. The most recent release brings the update for the “Bluegrass State”. Been There – Kentucky v2 introduces the change from “Mammoth Caves” to “Mammoth Cave” on the front of the mug. Although, the more I look at the mugs (see comparison picture below), the more I think it was actually “Mammuth”. They’ve definitely changed the look of that “o” (or was it “u”?). What do you guys think about it? Leave a comment below, please.

You Are Here Christmas Glass – Amsterdam

You Are Here Christmas Glass Amsterdam is the third and last of Glass City mugs released in 2020. Similar to others, it’s design is based on previously released (2017) YAH Christmas Amsterdam. Interestingly enough, that was the only Christmas version of this city mug, as opposed to Paris and London that had two.
Again, when comparing two mugs side-by-side it seems that all elements match, except for their location on the mug. As an example, the Christmas hat has been moved from being closer to the handle, to the left of the front of the mug.… Read more

You Are Here Christmas Glass – London

You Are Here Christmas Glass London mug is very similar in terms of the design to YAH Christmas London v2, that was released three years ago (2017). The comparison picture below shows that apart from being made of glass the new mug brings rearranged points of interest from the city. Some were moved and seem to be reduced in size, others were altered, e.g. the Christmas tree replaced the regular-looking tree.

You Are Here Christmas Glass – Paris

So different, yet, the resemblance is there. You Are Here Christmas Glass – Paris mug shows a revised design of the YAH Christmas Paris v2 released back in 2017. It is amazing how fast time flies!
For your convenience here’s the side-by-side comparison of these two below. The changes are subtle: the snowman has moved closer to the title of the mug, certain landmarks became smaller, including the Eiffel Tower.

You Are Here Ornament – Krakow

You Are Here Ornament – Krakow is the second in a row city release from the YAH ornament series. Starbucks has been only releasing country ornaments recently, so it is nice to see that there is more than that. There are certainly many countries that we, collectors, would like Starbucks to come up with the ornaments for, but it won’t hurt if cities are added to the schedule too!
When reviewing the full-sized mug, I didn’t mention the dragon on the right of the front of the mug, so I would like to give it attention now.… Read more

You Are Here – Gdańsk

This is the second Polish mug from last week’s release, Starbucks You Are Here – Gdańsk, which also has a very pleasant colorful design. Gdańsk is located on the Baltic coast and is Poland’s principal seaport. Together with the cities of Gdynia and the resort town of Sopot, it forms a metropolitan area called the Tricity.
The front of the mug showcases the most famous landmark of the city – Żuraw, which is an old city gate and port crane, the largest of its kind in Europe.… Read more
