You Are Here Ornament – Krakow

You Are Here Ornament – Krakow is the second in a row city release from the YAH ornament series. Starbucks has been only releasing country ornaments recently, so it is nice to see that there is more than that. There are certainly many countries that we, collectors, would like Starbucks to come up with the ornaments for, but it won’t hurt if cities are added to the schedule too!
When reviewing the full-sized mug, I didn’t mention the dragon on the right of the front of the mug, so I would like to give it attention now.… Read more

You Are Here – Gdańsk

This is the second Polish mug from last week’s release, Starbucks You Are Here – Gdańsk, which also has a very pleasant colorful design. Gdańsk is located on the Baltic coast and is Poland’s principal seaport. Together with the cities of Gdynia and the resort town of Sopot, it forms a metropolitan area called the Tricity.
The front of the mug showcases the most famous landmark of the city – Żuraw, which is an old city gate and port crane, the largest of its kind in Europe.… Read more

You Are Here – Szczecin

Starbucks continues to spoil us with YAH releases. Two new Poland mugs were spotted in stores last week. Here’s the first of them: You Are Here Szczecin. This is the mug for the country’s major seaport and seventh-largest city. I like the recent European mugs a lot for their colors. Szczecin is not an exception. It showcases the views of the Old Town (Stare Miasto) situated on the left bank of the Oder river. It is the oldest historical district in the city.… Read more

You Are Here – Nha Trang

Thanks to a Facebook friend, I can finally share the pictures of You Are Here – Nha Trang with you. As you can see, the other sides of the mug continue the soft colors design pattern, which is meant to represent the relaxing atmosphere of the coastal resort city, which Nha Trang is. Here are some activities that you should try or places to visit when in the city:
– National Oceanographic Museum of Vietnam was opened in 1922 and has more than 20,000 live and preserved specimens of local marine life.… Read more

Been There – Yosemite National Park

The release of Been There – Yosemite National Park denotes the further expansion of the BT series beyond cities and countries. Yes, we had amusement parks, but never a National Park, which made me wonder what other parks have Starbucks stores in them? After a quick search, it seems that this is the only one so far, and I think I know what could be the reason for that. It seems that the news about the opening of the store in Yosemite National Park was not well received by many park admirers.… Read more

Star Wars Been There – Tatooine

Star Wars Been There – Tatooine is a mug for probably one of the most well-known locations from the Star Wars franchise. Home planet to both Luke and Anakin Skywalker, it is remembered for its desert landscapes and beautiful sunsets of its two suns. I believe it is the only planet featured in all six episodes of the saga (although only mentioned in The Empire Strikes Back). It is also the very first planet to be seen in the film franchise (Episode IV – A New Hope) and that’s what most of the mug is dedicated to.… Read more

Star Wars Been There – Endor

Star Wars Been There – Endor is a mug for a small forested moon that orbited the Tana (Endor), a gas giant from the Endor system. Other names of the moon included the Forest Moon of Endor or the Sanctuary Moon.
The front of the mug shows Ewoks, native inhabitants of the moon. They were primitive but curious and friendly furred bipeds that used spears, slings, and knives as weapons. On the other hand, they appeared to be quick learners of advanced technologies and concepts brought by the Empire.… Read more

Star Wars Been There – Batuu

Here’s Star Wars Been There – Batuu, the release that I’ve mentioned in my previous post. It makes it the fourth mug from this mini collection.
In the Star Wars universe, Batuu is a remote terrestrial planet on the edge of the galaxy’s Outer Rim Territories. Batuu was once covered by massive trees, that later transformed into stone towers after a cataclysm. These formations, referred to by local Batuuans as “spires”, became landmarks for settlers. Black Spire Outpost is the largest settlement on the planet, which was a busy stop for travelers before the invention of hyperspace travel.… Read more

Batuu, Tatooine and Endor mugs have been released

Not just two but three Starbucks Star Wars mugs have been revealed this morning by Disney. Batuu, Tatooine, and Endor are now available for purchase at Disney Shop, but the demand is huge. You have to act fast if you want to get them. I am expecting the new mugs to be gone very soon and who knows when the new batch is going to come out! It is limited to two mugs of the same kind per customer, but I am sure that won’t stop people from buying more and reselling for a profit later.… Read more

New Star Wars-themed mugs from Starbucks

It seems it became a good tradition for Starbucks to release new Star Wars-themed mugs on May 4th. The rumor floating around has it that the new locations from the famous universe are about to be added to the collection. As a reminder, a year ago I reviewed the first three mugs from this series: Hoth, Bespin, and Dagobah and did mention that I expected other cities and planets to follow. I am particularly satisfied to see one of the new releases to be the mug from my prediction list, which is Tatooine!… Read more
