You Are Here – Schiphol

Starbucks You Are Here – Schiphol seems to be another mug that was never released. It was brought to my attention by a kind reader with an eagle eye. The picture is coming from a promo video that was posted 2 years ago, this is why I believe that YAH – Schiphol is a prototype, and very few of them if not just one were produced. I did spend some time trying to find any mention of this mug anywhere else, but no luck.… Read more

You Are Here – Morocco

Starbucks You Are Here – Morocco is another fresh release reveal that I would like to thank my reader for. She has confirmed to me that Morocco and Rabat are now available in stores.
This new mug has a bright colorful design showing multiple small boats along the sandy shore with the city skyline in the background. We see three pieces of the traditional Moroccan pottery, above that. There are three cities in Morocco that specialize in ceramic artistry: Meknes, Safi, and Fez.… Read more

You Are Here – Rabat

I would like to thank my reader, who kindly provided the image of Starbucks You Are Here – Rabat mug. The release of this mug is another proof that YAH series still has some steam!
The mug is designed using some colors and showcases the Chellah or Shalla on the front. This fortress was built in pre-Roman and pre-Islamic times, then abandoned in 1154 AD. It was later used as a necropolis, a holy complex that included a mosque, minaret (can be seen on the top of the front of the mug), and royal tombs.… Read more

You Are Here Ornament – Jordan

I believe Starbucks You Are Here Ornament – Jordan will be somewhat hard to get. A small number of stores in this country do not make a collector’s life easier. Fingers crossed it stays on shelves for some time, so everyone can get it eventually.
Here’s the link, to a full-size sibling of this ornament where I’ve mentioned that the front of the mug features dromedary (camel) and Al-Khazneh – “The Treasury” (Arabic) – amazing ancient temple.

You Are Here – Rhodes

Even though we’ve just witnessed the release of the first BT mug outside of the Americas, YAH series is not over yet. This is Starbucks You Are Here – Rhodes mug from Greece.
Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands of Greece and is also the island group’s ancient capital. The island and the city have a rich historical past, which you can tell by its old buildings and monuments. Thanks to that and the great climate with long warm summers, it’s a very popular destination for tourists from all around the world.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Vietnam

Starbucks Been There Ornament – Vietnam, along with the regular size mug, opens Asia for BT series. Similar to other mugs from this collection, the smaller ones have fewer items depicted or those elements are different. For this particular ornament, I would like to mention a Cycle Rickshaw, which is still a popular touristic attraction in many Vietnamese cities. This three-wheel bicycle taxi is called xích lô (pronounced “sick-low”, from the French cyclo) in Vietnam. The design includes a double seat supported by the two front wheels, with the driver sitting behind.… Read more

Been There – Vietnam

Something special has finally happened. We knew it was just a matter of time till Starbucks expands Been There Series beyond the Americas. Well, this time has come on Friday with the release of the first Asian BT mug and ornament. It is this Been There Vietnam mug that has been chosen for this role in particular. The box it comes with is of the same light blue color as we’re used to. As a nice touch, you can also buy it in a special gift box, which, along with the mug, includes a card and coffee filter (see the photo below).… Read more

Been There – Missouri 2

Dash is another very popular “fix” for the BT series mugs. Starbucks Been There – Missouri v2 replaces “SHOW ME STATE” with “SHOW-ME STATE” right on the front of the mug. And I can clearly understand the designers because I was able to find both readings from the official sources. Just look at this “welcome” sign that can be seen as you enter the state by road, then two license plates. It is indeed confusing.

There are multiple versions where this nickname is originating from.… Read more
