Been There Christmas – Seattle

Here’s the another Christmas mug – Starbucks Been There Christmas Seattle. Again, it pretty much looks like the regular one, except being black and white. The first Starbucks store, a.k.a. the Pike Place Starbucks store, a.k.a. the Original Starbucks, which opened it’s doors in 1971, is presented on the front of the mug. The design of the store hasn’t change since and serves as touristic attraction nowadays, while being fully operational. While the Original Starbucks is always overcrowded, it is really hard to resist the temptation of coming inside and ordering a cup of coffee or buying a mug.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Vancouver

Starbucks Been There Ornament Vancouver is the forth Canadian ornament from the new series and the last so far. It is sad that no minis have been released for Provinces yet, but I still believe this will happen at some point.
This ornament has green string and these symbols:
– Whale tail and killer whale – for whale watching in Vancouver area
– Ferry – my understanding this is for ferries to Vancouver Island and other adjacent islands.
– Seaplane – is the best and easiest way to explore wonders of Beautiful British Columbia.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Niagara Falls

Starbucks Been There Ornament Niagara Falls is a Canadian ornament, according to the box (it has both English and French titles on it). From the mug:
– Horseshoe Falls – a.k.a Canadian Falls, is the largest of the three waterfalls forming Niagara Falls. Did you know the falls has moved back 7 miles during the last 12000 years due to erosion? The process has significantly slowed back, however in 40000 years or so the falls might not exist.
– Lake Erie is one of the five Great Lakes and forth by surface.… Read more

Been There Ornament – San Francisco

I does look like Starbucks hasn’t released as many city BTOs as city BTs, but hopefully there will be the second batch soon. Starbucks Been There Ornament San Francisco is one of those released already. From the mug:
– The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, that’s where San Francisco Bay meets the Pacific Ocean. This bridge is probably one of the most recognizable symbols of San Francisco.
– The Dungeness crab – is a type of crab specific to West Coast of North America – a must try when visiting San Francisco due to its sweet and tender flesh.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Houston

Here’s another mini mug from Texas, this time it’s Starbucks Been There Ornament Houston. The color palette is green and brown while string is green. What do we see here:
Magnolia City is one of the earliest of Houston’s many nicknames.
a horseshoe – referring to ranchers
an oil rig – since the economy of Houston is based primarily on the energy industry, particularly oil
Houston City Hall – constructed during 1938 and 1939
I would like to specifically mention the Starbucks cup, which is supposed to be found on each of the mugs from Been There series.… Read more
