Been There Ornament – Nevada

Here’s Starbucks Been There Ornament Nevada. The string is red and we can also see “the silver state” nickname on the front of the mug. The discovery of silver at the Comstock Lode in 1859 led to a population boom that became an eventually the creation of Nevada Territory out of western Utah Territory in 1861

Been There Ornament – Idaho

I think Starbucks Been There Ornament Idaho is one of the prettiest so far. The mug has lots of blue elements, same color as the string. From the front of the mug:
– Spud State – my understanding this is one of the old nicknames. The most recent one is the Gem State.
– Hells Canyon on the border of Oregon and Idaho is only 10 miles long, yet it is North America’s deepest river gorge at 7,993 feet
– Lake with mountains in the background – this one is really hard to identify since Idaho have lots of lakes with mountains surrounding them, and they all look beautiful.… Read more

Been There Ornament – South Dakota

Another hard to get mug – Starbucks Been There Ornament South Dakota. It is very similar to ND BTO in terms of colors, since red and orange were used for the mug and orange for the string. Here’s the front of it:
– Mount Rushmore National Memorial – an iconic symbol of United States, depicting four US presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Interesting fact – each president was originally to be depicted from head to waist (lack of funding didn’t allow this to happen).… Read more

Been There Ornament – North Dakota

Here’s probably one of the hard to get BTOs, due to the remoteness of the state – Starbucks Been There Ornament North Dakota. The string is orange and the whole mug is designed using red and orange palette. Here are the visual details:
– The Peace Garden State – the official nickname of North Dakota. It was initially placed on licensed plates in 1956 and later officially adopted by the state.
– American bison and beaver – parts of NDs wildlife.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Montana

Let’s review some minis from Rocky Mountain Region. Here’s Starbucks Been There Ornament Montana. Green colors were used for the mug and the string. It is mostly nature which inspired designers when working on this mug:
– The Rocky Mountains – a major mountain range in western North America, a.k.a the Rockies. They stretch as long as 3000 miles, from British Columbia down to New Mexico.
– Black bear, American bison and birds of prey – are just some animals from the great variety of Montana’s wildlife.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Tennessee

Starbucks Been There Ornament Tennessee is another blue mini mug from the new series. Oddly enough the string is orange. Here’s what we see on the front of the mug:
– Eastern box turtle – an official reptile of the Tennessee (and North Carolina as well)
– a waterfall – my understanding this is Fosters Falls
– three trees, sorry guys, I can’t recognize them. Btw, these are not present on a bigger mug
– The Tennessee State Capitol is the seat of government for the U.S.… Read more

Been There Ornament – San Francisco

I does look like Starbucks hasn’t released as many city BTOs as city BTs, but hopefully there will be the second batch soon. Starbucks Been There Ornament San Francisco is one of those released already. From the mug:
– The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, that’s where San Francisco Bay meets the Pacific Ocean. This bridge is probably one of the most recognizable symbols of San Francisco.
– The Dungeness crab – is a type of crab specific to West Coast of North America – a must try when visiting San Francisco due to its sweet and tender flesh.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Washington, D.C.

Another blue mug here, Starbucks Been There Ornament Washington, D.C. (string is blue too). These elements can be seen on the front of the mug:
– The White House – is the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States
– The United States Capitol, a.k.a. the Capitol Building, is located on Capitol Hill, and is the home of the United States Congress, and the seat of the legislative branch of the U.S. federal government.
– The Arlington Memorial Bridge – which crosses the Potomac River was proposed in 1886, but only built in 1932 due to arguments about who this bridge should be dedicated to.… Read more

Been There Ornament – Virginia

Starbucks Been There Ornament Virginia is designed with the blue palette in mind. Same for the string. From the mug:
– Mother of Presidents – is Virginia’s nickname. Why? Because four of the first five Americans Presidents were Virginians. They are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe.
– The Blue Ridge Mountains – make a part of Appalachian Mountains range
– The blue crabs are an iconic symbol of the Chesapeake Bay
– The Chincoteague Pony, also known as the Assateague horse, is a breed of pony that developed and lives in a feral condition on Assateague Island (Virginia and Maryland).… Read more

Been There Ornament – Louisiana

Starbucks Been There Ornament Louisiana has been released with no major delay (you probably remember the bigger mug errors?). It has green string and that’s what we see on the front:

– the banjo – which originated in West Africa has a rich and complex history in New Orleans and more broadly Louisiana.
